Character-wise, the new BMW M2 is the automotive equivalent of Bart Simpson. It’s a naughty little boy who delights in raising hell everywhere it goes and you know it’s up to no good just looking at it. Styling-wise, though, the M2 is like a young Al Pacino.
It’s not a big dude, but it has a certain grace that makes you respect it. And now it has become even more stylish thanks to a high-end set of wheels from HRE. The Mineral Grey BMW M2 here is equipped with HRE P101 rims in Gloss Black – a finish that gives it a much more aggressive look. The unique design of the wheels also play a major part in achieving that look.
Powered by a busy little twi-turbo straight-six engine, BMW M2 packs a heavy-for-its-size 370 horsepower punch with 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque which can be increased to as much as 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) in short bursts under overboost. All that means that under optimum circumstances, the car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds, on its way to a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
