The hatch loving Brits are offered a deal by Honda in which they get an excellent new variant of the latest Civic that is an entry-level model equipped with some of the goodies of the higher trim grades. They call it the Honda Civic Sport, and it starts at £18,360 on the road.
That is if you want to pay cash for it. There is also financing options with £199 a month on a three year PCP deal with 5.9% APR and a deposit of £3,415. Okay, that’s got a bit complicated, but UK car buyers tell us that is fairly good value, especially considering the kit you get with the new Honda Civic Sport.
As mentioned, the Sport is an entry-level model packing a 1.4 liter i-VTEC engine with only 100 PS and a torque figure of 127 Nm. That’s the downside. The upside is, the CO2 emissions for this motor are only 131 g/km which means it is also pretty light on fuel as well. But the truly interesting thing about Honda Civic Sport is the way it looks.
You neighbors will never guess your new Civic is a base model as it comes with a few Type R styling elements that make it look a lot more expensive than it really is. You get a unique colour-coded rear spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels as well a lower grille mesh and a black roof lining for the cabin.
