Celebrating their appointment by Noble Automotive as the official sales and service dealer for UK and Europe, Super Veloce Racing will reveal a special Noble M600 at the London Motor Show on May 5. Maybe the backing of a proper dealer would help Noble actually sell some of these cars.
It’s not that Noble M600 is a bad super car. Quite the contrary, it’s actually pretty awesome. It’s raw and brutal and very good fun to wrestle with. The problem with this car has always been value. It costs a lot more than the equivalent Ferraris and Lamborghinis and McLarens, but it’s not as good-looking as those rival and nowhere near as easy to live with.
And there is the engine. Again, it’s a good engine, a 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine with 662bhp and 604 lb-ft of torque. But it has humble origins, built by Yamaha and used in the Volvo XC90. Mind you, the performance it gives Noble M600 is anything but humble: 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, 0-120 mph in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 225 mph.
The M600 prepared by Super Veloce Racing is the best specced version of the car yet, boasting a ‘Black-Red’ paintwork with exposed carbon fiber roof, plus a leather, carbon and Alcantara interior with contrast stitching.
