After boosting an Audi RS3 to over 550 horsepower, German tuner B&B Automobiltechnik GmbH has come up with a tuning kit for that car’s little brother, the S1. With 380 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque, B&B Audi S1 has got to be the most potent car of its size.
You have to take into account that the standard S1 is no slouch either, packing a very respectable 230 horsepower and 370 Nm when it comes out of the factory. What B&B Audi S1 boasts is a “tricked-out” engine with a larger turbocharger, high performance intercooler, carbon air box, racing muffler with special exhaust pipes and sport catalysts, and a new engine software. The result, as mentioned, is 380 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, and the result of that is 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 285 km/h.
In comparison, the standard Audi S1 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and its top speed is limited to 250 km/h. To make sure the little hatchback stays on the ground in spite of its newfound turn of speed, B&B Audi S1 is equipped with the tuner’s B9 alloy wheels measuring 18 Inch in size and wrapped with 225/35 tires as well as high performance braking system with massive 342 mm discs up front. There is also a B&B-tuned KW Variant 3 coil-over set you can order if you want. Also available are less powerful variants of the engine upgrade kit.
