The new and refreshed 2017 Subaru BRZ hits U.S. dealerships in September 2016 sporting a starting price of $25,495. You don’t get a power increase with the new model over the last year’s model, but at least they’ve bumped the price only a 100 bucks. So yo can’t be that mad at them.

That said, Subaru is trying to make more money off of the 2017 Subaru BRZ with a new limited edition called Series Yellow. This special version of only 500 copies is priced at $29,695 and its highlights include yellow paint job, special badging, Brembo brakes, SACHS shocks, 17 inch wheels, leather and Alcantara upholstery with yellow stitching. The Yellow will arrive at dealerships in early 2017.

What’s more, the latest BRZ comes with a new Performance Package priced at $1,195 which adds the Brembo brakes, SACHS shocks and 17 inch wheels to the Limited version. Speaking of the Limited trim, it starts at $27,645 and comes with LED fog lights and standard heated front seats and exterior mirrors, Keyless Entry and Push Button Start as well as leather and Alcantara seats and 4.2-in LCD multi-function display.

To be honest though you don’t need this extra garnish. What you want is a bog standard 25 grand 2017 Subaru BRZ you can beat the crap out of and not care. The basic kit is not too shabby either, as it includes a very nice infotainment and sound system. You are far better off spending your spare cash on some upgrades for the 205 PS boxer engine.
