As you may know Mercedes-Benz has green lighted a roadster version of the AMG GT and the car has already been sighted out and about doing some pre-production testing. Inspired by that, designer Rain Prisk has come up with this extreme open-top Mercedes AMG GT Speedster.

Now, we are huge fans of the whole Speedster concept because, when done right, it makes the car sportier and cooler and more fun. But we have to say the designer here seems to have gotten a bit carried away. This Mercedes AMG GT Speedster looks like it might have a birth defect or something which might have to do with the shape of that windscreen.

As an idea though, Mercedes AMG GT Speedster is a hugely appealing proposition and one that could be an interesting project for a tuner to showcase at SEMA or Essen. This rendering is also good at showcasing what the AMG GT looks like slammed to the ground and with a massive aero kit on.
