You know DS Automobile of Switzerland as one of the most active representatives of Hamann Motorsport in the world. They usually do only the visual stuff like body kits and wheels, but this time they’ve gone a bit technical and equipped a BMW M135i xDrive with a power package.
The car in question here is a pre-facelift BMW M135i xDrive model which, to be brutally honest, needs a visual treatment more than it needs a power upgrade. But in any case, DS has fitted this car with a Hamann power kit which boosts the output of its straight six-cylinder engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology from 325 horsepower to a nice and round 360 horsepower.
These days, if you want to have something to say in the hot hatch market, that is the least amount of power you need. BMW M135i xDrive by DS also gets a set of Hamann Anniversary Evo wheels, but that’s all the changes it benefits from as they have clearly deemed it a good enough all-rounder at this stage. The car is a four-door hatchback with all-wheel-drive and 360 horsepower. You can’t really ask for more. Well, maybe a less stupid face, but that’s about it really.
