Following some elaborate teasers Land Rover has now revealed the new Discovery on the eve of the Paris Motor Show. The new 2017 Land Rover Discovery is pitched as the ultimate Sport Utility Vehicle, a car, a “full-sized, three-row, seven-seat SUV with unbeatable capability and versatility.” It will go on sale from Spring 2017 priced from £43,495 in the UK and $49,990 in the U.S.

Looking through the specs sheet for the new Land Rover Discovery we have to say the Brits are right in being so proud of what they have come up with here. Everything about the Disco seems to be a head and shoulder above the competition; from the seven full-sized adult seats, configurable from your smartphone, to the semi-autonomous safety technology, premium materials, a ton of space, and a range of great engine which, combined with the sophisticated chassis and all-wheel-drive systems, make this car pretty much unstoppable.

One area the new Land Rover Discovery really shines is passenger comfort. As mentioned, the seats are remotely adjustable on all three rows, and they are all heated, with rows one and two being both heated and cooled. What’s more, the front seats can be specified with a massage system as well. There is also the Auto Access Height which drops the car down to make getting in easier, and the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system providing navigation, control and entertainment in combination with iOS and Android connectivity, a 14-speaker Meridian digital surround system, with and 3G WiFi.

Other impressive factors about the new Disco include storage space up to 2,406 litres of load capacity, or up to 1,137 litres behind row two, availability of the twin-turbo Sd4 Ingenium 240 PS engine in addition to 258PS Td6 and 340PS supercharged petrol 3.0-litre V6, ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC), Command Driving Position, and Advanced Tow Assist.
