Citroen’s DS division , responsible for making the quirky models they are too afraid to put their own name on, has released a new limited edition with all the dials turned up to eleven. It’s called the DS4 Crossback Terre Rouge which is a jacked-up hatchback with a lot of trendy features.

So no, although the car looks like a SUV in the photos in reality it is just a DS4 with the ride height elevated by 30mm. The faux utilitarian design of the DS4 Crossback Terre Rouge is further enhanced by employing wheel arch embellishers, roof bars and panoramic windscreen. The limited edition also features a matt Tourmaline Orange paint job inspired by the latest Parisian fashion trend, 18-inch gloss black wheels, and tinted windows.

The unique looks of the Citroen DS4 Crossback Terre Rouge are backed up by the mediocre performance of a BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT6 auto engine, but it makes up for it in the equipment department. With this model you get front parking sensors, blind spot monitoring system and aluminium sports pedals as well as Mirror Screen technology comprising Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink accessed through a 7 inch touchscreen, DS LED Vision headlights, reversing camera, keyless entry and lane departure warning system plus Black Basalt leather upholstery.

So at the end of the day, if you concentrate really hard, you might be able to justify the £30,045 asking price for the Terre Rouge. You will have exclusivity on our side as Citroen is only sending 17 units to the UK.
