We still haven’t recovered from seeing what Skoda has done to the poor Octavia sedan with that hideous facelift, but we have now come across something that can potentially soften the blow a bit. It’s an excellent rendering of the next Skoda Octavia RS, and although it has the same face it has some redeeming features as well.

The designer has envisioned the RS version of the Octavia based on features borrowed from the current generation of the car. He has applied them to the facelift model with the unsightly face in an attempt to make things better. It hasn’t been a successful attempt, but this is pretty much what you will get with the next generation Skoda Octavia RS… unless the Czech car maker comes to their senses and reverse the facelift.

At any rate, Skoda Octavia RS Facelift gets a pair of sporty bumpers on the front and rear with large air intakes and better aero properties, lowered suspension, larger wheels and brakes, a new exhaust system and a hot, turbocharged engine. RS Skodas have always been good performance cars that didn’t break the bank, but to be honest this one might break your heart every time you look at it. That said, if they replicate the baby blue color featured in this rendering that could help things.
