The latest power kit by ABT Sportsline for an Audi RS model concerns the new S3 sedan, a car that with 310 stock horsepower is a pretty nifty bit of kit as it is. Packing 400 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, ABT Audi S3 makes the car maker’s own RS3 model look amateurish.
Comprising ABT POWER software and the ABT sport-type catalytic converter, the power package boosts the output of ABT Audi S3 from the standard 310 hp and 400 Nm to, in the first stage, 370 hp and 480 Nm and in the second to 400 hp with 500 Nm of torque. So this unassuming little car has the potential to embarrass some of today’s most serious sports cars, and it can do that while remaining perfectly practical and usable for everyday use.
Besides the power upgrades, ABT Audi S3 also gets a number of other upgrades which have to do with making it look nicer and more serious. There are the fender inserts and the four black chrome-plated tailpipes, and of course a whole range of sport wheels from ER-C, DR, FR or CR, series in sizes 18, 19 or 20 inch with Dunlop or Continental high-performance tires. If you want to spend more, ABT also offers anti-rollbars for the front and rear axles to further improve the chassis.
