Earlier this year Ford announced they have listened to the fans and are going to launch a more powerful version of the superb Fiesta ST. The car, officially christened Ford Fiesta ST200 is now ready to be launched and it starts from £22,745 or €22,300.

Although the standard 180bhp Fiesta ST is an absolute hoot to drive and just a lovely thing to live with, fans have been complaining since day one that it should have the same power as the competition, if only for bragging rights. That has resulted in the new Ford Fiesta ST200, but it comes with more than just 10 per cent more power and 20 per cent more torque.

The biggest highlight of the ST200 that set it apart from the regular models include unique Storm Grey exterior, distinctive machined matt black alloy wheels and special interior detailing. What’s more, the car has revised gearing ratio which results in much better in-gear acceleration and makes the whole thing feel more potent. Ford Fiesta ST200 sprints 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds while 31-82mph takes 5.2 seconds in fourth gear. Flat out it can do 143mph.

A sharpened steering, Enhanced Torque Vectoring Control (eTVC) and 3-mode Electronic Stability Control (ESC) are all standard on the ST200, as is a revised interior featuring partial leather Charcoal Recaro front seats with contrasting silver stitching, carbon fiber inserts, an ST-specification steering wheel, SYNC voice-activated infotainment, sound symposer, and Ford MyKey.
