Because of its rarity, personality, and sheer sexiness of its looks, it is always an occasion when a Gemballa Mirage GT is spotted out in the wild. The wild in question this time is the city of Hangzhou in China where a lucky rich dude has just taken delivery of this matte purple beauty.

Based on the Porsche Carrera GT, the Gemballa Mirage GT is quite possibly the finest and richest tuner car in history. In fact, it goes way beyond an upgrade program and verges on being a coachbuilt car. After all, the body is substantially modified, the looks are altered, and so are the engine and the interior. In fact, someone who doesn’t know the story of the Mirage would have a hard time making the connection between this and the Carrera GT.

These photos do a good job of highlighting most of the visual details of the Gemballa Mirage GT, from its unique bumpers and custom bonnet, to the bespoke fenders and side sills, the wonderful rear bumper with its awesome tailpipes, the engine cover that is one with that roof scoop, and of course, that ginormous rear wing. There is also exclusive wheels, that superb paint job, and oh yeah, a tricked-out V10 engine with new exhaust and stuff developing 670 hp and 630 Nm, giving the car a 3.7 secs 0 to 100 km/h time and top speed of 335 km/h.
