Upgrading and accessorizing exotic cars is a hugely lucrative market and the way car makers themselves can tap into it is though special and limited edition models and packages. McLaren Automotive has proven themselves a master of this, as evidenced with their latest option package, the £16,500 McLaren 570S Track Pack.

What this package is, in essence, is a number of light modifications to the rear wing, a new set of wheels, and some extra Alcantara and carbon fiber inside the cabin. But because they are calling it the McLaren 570S Track Pack and have linked it with the brand’s illustrious racing history, you are expected to pay that princely sum for it. And many will do, of course.

McLaren 570S Track Pack features a 12mm higher rear wing which increases the downforce by 29kg at 150mph, hooray, plus MSO roof finish in Dark Palladium, stealth-finish Sports exhaust, carbon fiber seats with the leather replaced with Alcantara for the seats, dashboard and steering wheel covering. This model also comes with the track telemetry app which is also featured in the P1 and 675LT models and provides real-time information, such as lap times, sector splits and comparisons between drivers.
