Every tuner and their dogs have worked on the W217 Mercedes S-Class Coupe except for Prior Design. They addressed the issue at this year’s Essen Motor Show, revealing the PD990SC Prior Design Mercedes S-Coupe wide body. Turns out it was worth the wait.
So Prior Design Mercedes S-Coupe may be a late to the game, but it certainly comes packing a punch. The kit is unquestionably one of the nicest we’ve seen for this car and it is big enough and well-designed enough to actually make a difference in the overall looks of the car.
Unlike most wide body kits which end up giving the base vehicle the appearance of a kit car, Prior Design Mercedes S-Coupe looks as if it came out of Mercedes-Benz factory with those wide arches. The flared fenders are complemented with side vents and side skirts, and their visual impact is perfected by a pair of revised bumpers featuring a spoiler lip up front and a diffuser out back.
Optionally, you can add to the PD90SC package a fairly large rear duck tail spoiler and a muscular new engine bonnet. And of course, you have a whole range of cool wheels to choose from and you will have to, because wide body kits aren’t complete without some properly fat wheels and some serious suspension adjustment.
