On the last weeks of 2016 Lexus is busying themselves with the press launch of the new LC Coupe, but they are also working on a big debut for after the holidays. In January and at the Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS) they will be unveiling the new 2018 Lexus LF flagship saloon.

Teased by its nosecone and chassis in this preview photos, the 2018 Lexus LF is bringing with it fresh new looks which, though heavily influenced by the company’s current design language and with the spindle grille at the center of it all, will be different enough than the previous generation and indeed everything else in this segment to be interesting. What’s more, there is a whole host of new technology features as well.

The new LS saloon is built on the company’s all-new global architecture for luxury vehicles (GA–L), the premium rear-wheel drive platform which is an extended version of the one used in the LC 500 coupe, which means it is going to be fairly dynamic for is size. The car’s going to get a Hybrid variant as well as a F Sport variant, so whichever way you’re leaning Lexus’s got you covered. Naturally, top-notch quality and an abundance of up-to-the-minute comfort, convenience and connectivity equipment are also part of the deal.
