Shortly after introducing the new Mercedes E-Class Coupe is opening the order books for the car in the UK, promising the first deliveries to commence in April 2017. The new E-Coupe comes in only one richly equipped trim level in Britain but three engines.
The basic Mercedes E-Class Coupe is the E220d diesel, the only one in the range, with 194 hp and 400 Nm, starting from £40,135. Then you have the E300 petrol with 245 hp and maximum torque of 370 Nm from a 2.0 liter turbo unit kicking off from £41,025 and E 400 4MATIC has a biturbo 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine generating 333 hp and 480 Nm starting at £50,775.
As mentioned there is only one trim level, called AMG Line, with standard items such as sports exhaust system (E 300 only); 19-inch five-twin-spoke alloy wheels; high performance LED headlights and tail lights; parking pilot including parking sensors and reversing camera; belt feeder; Magic Vision Control; ambient lighting with a choice of 64 colours; 8.4-inch infotainment screen with Garmin navigation system (Comand Online with 12.3-inch screen is standard on E 400 4MATIC); split folding rear seats; Active Brake Assist; steering wheel-mounted touchpads; Artico and Dinamica upholstery and heated front seats.
Of course, there are packages for you to customize your equipment list with, including a £2,795 Premium package which brings panoramic sunroof; and Keyless Go comfort package, and the Premium Plus which for £3,895 adds Multibeam LED intelligent light system and Burmester surround sound system. You want fancy driving aids you have to shell out £1,695 for the Driving Assistance package which includes Drive Pilot; Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function; Evasive Steering Assist; and Pre-Safe Plus. Drive Pilot includes Steering Pilot; Active Lane Change Assist; Active Emergency Stop Assist; Distance Pilot Distronic; and Speed Limit Pilot.
