According to the company’s official themselves, Bentley just wants to be different than anyone else, and by different they mean better. So when it comes to promoting their cars a mere old-fashioned ad won’t do. Oh no. They employed NASA technology to make a 7-billion pixel Bentley Gigapixel Image which is kind of like Where’s Waldo where Waldo is the new Flying Spur W12 S.

So Bentley Gigapixel Image is basically a photograph of the Bentley Flying Spur W12 S sitting in the luxury marina of Dubai, but you have to zoom for a while to get to the thing. The image starts with a wide shot of Dubai so large and detailed that you can see the curvature of earth in it. And it zooms in until it gets on ground level with the Spur where a man from Crewe delivers a refined speech about the whole stunt:

The numbers involved in producing the Bentley Gigapixel Image are mind-blowing. They suspended a camera 264 metres up the Cayan Tower – one of Dubai’s tallest buildings, it had to withstand 40 degrees heat and 25 km/h wind,it stitched together 57.7 billion pixels in a process that took 48 hours and 1,825 frames to create and 18 hours to download!

And if you are wondering about the Flying Spur W12 S, it features enhanced power and torque outputs from the mighty 6.0-litre, twin-turbo W12 engine, increased from 625 PS to 635 PS (626 bhp) and torque from 800 Nm to 820 Nm (605 lb. ft.) That gives the car a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).
