global warming at California Starts Rating Cars on CO2 level

Starting Jan. 1, every 2009 model year and newer car sold in California will be required to carry a label that clearly ranks the vehicle’s environmental impact, in addition to the existing requisite smog ratings. There is a smog score and a global warming score (all based on a one to ten scale) which rate how much methane, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, etc. will be emitted by the car. Per the scale, ten is the best, five is average. For example 1 is 520 CO2-equivalent grams per mile and up, and 10 being less than 200.The new sticker applies only to 2009 models and later, not to any year end closeouts you might be interested in buying.

Owned by late Dr. Harold Carr this Bugatti Type 57S Atlante is one of the most rare classics in the whole world, and thanks to the good Doctor who left it in his will for relatives it will find a better home than this stinky garage as it’s due to go auctioned next month in Paris.  Only 17 units of this car has been ever built and this particular one was originally owned by the first president of the British Racing Drivers’ Club, Earl Howe. Dr.Carr was the last owner and locked the car up since 1960 along with an E-type Jaguar and an Aston Martin! It’s estimated to worth at least $4million, but with the online hype created about this car it can easily go up to double! the Doc’s relatives are more than happy!
