Toyota Land Cruiser and specially the Prado model is one of the fewest cars in the world that really has a global market in all of the continents. It is being sold in 176 different countries for more than half a century, so although it might seem so, but it’s a very very important car! Here’s the 2010 facelifted model which will be presented at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor show.

Those familiar with the current generation of the Prado instantly recognize the new model. Although the car is significantly changed specially at front, but it still maintains the bulky character of the outgoing model. It will be produced in three and five-door variants, but UK customers will only get the big one, which is powered by a 171bhp 3.0-litre D-4D diesel. Other European countries will also get the three-door version along with a new 4.0 liter V6 VVT-i engine.

Following a leaked picture of the 2010 Toyota Prado facelift, now these images emerged revealing the car in full. Changes on the new Prado are not substantial, but give it a fresh look. You can notice footprints of other Toyota model all over the car.

And the car that Prado is mostly affected by is the Land Cruiser. Most of the muscles and also shape of the headlights are very similar to the LC. After all Prado must become trendy if it wants to be a player in this crowded segment. Expect to see lots of new features and toys and new interior trimming as well.

The current Toyota Prado gets 4 and 6 cylinder engines ( and a diesel in Europe) but it is possible that the new one gets a V8 option as well. As you see a badge on the tailgate says VX.L which should be the new variant.

One of the very popular SUVs in the middle east is indeed the Toyota Prado. But this popularity does more harm to it than good because you see this car everywhere so it has no sense of exclusivity at all. Now on the evidence of this leaked picture, Toyota is preparing a new fresh model for 2010, which by the looks of things is pretty much like the old one!

Of course it’s easy to notice that 2010 Toyota Prado design is getting more and more close to it’s bigger brother, the Land Cruiser. Specially at the back it looks very identical to the big car. And the new headlights kinda reminds me of the new Lexus RX. But we have to wait for more revealing images to surface before really judge the car.

If 2010 Prado is like this picture, it certainly will remain a soulless tall car for school run or that sorta jobs!
