It didn’t take long for Porsche from announcing to actually producing its first ever diesel cars.  And the first one just just rolled out of the factory in Leipzig.  What a moment for Porsche! they’ve never been so happy, even when they made Carrera GT! Starting with the Cayenne, the company will almost certainly extend it to the upcoming Panamera as well. The engine in this ‘first’ is a V6 3.0 liter with 240hp and 550nm of torque. Fine, but seems a bit pointless…

You see, diesels are economy minded, specially when horse power figure is low you expect the fuel consumption to be very very low, but in this Porsche engine, while power is pitiful (240hp), fuel economy is nowhere near good as it self-burns more than 11 liter per 100km. Taking into account that it is company claimed number! So, why should one live with a nasty diesel engine, tolerate low power and suffer from bad fuel economy?! specially when it is an ugly car like Cayenne! and the worst part is the price, € 86,500! which is somewhere around $120,000. What the hell are they thinking?! How cocky they are!

After a silent premier at 2008 Essen Show, finally 9ff dropped official pictures of GTT900. Based on Carrera GT, which is now a part of history as Porsche wrapped up its production last year, this classic monster has a limited top speed of 390 km/h !

900 in its names stands for 900hp output of the modified by turbochargers V10, which naturally can only do a mere 612hp! 9ff is just more than a normal Porsche tuner, they are engineering genius. For GTT900 they’ve upgraded the monocoque carbon fiber chassis along with Ceramic clutch and Ceramic brakes and new adjustable suspension. Of Course aerodynamic package is there to provide stability at high speed. Carbon fiber rear wing, unique wheel arches, lips and spoilers are also made from same material. 9ff GTT900 runs on 19″ specially designed magnesium rims.

The car looks business in this two-tone color and is priced at €452,000 ($635,000).

The extremists at German Porsche specialist 9ff have been working on a Veyron killer version of Carrera GT, but it’s been a top secret project since no official infos leaked during these years. But now it looks finished, sort of, but it’s not as crazy looking as the renders they had released earlier.

Named GTT 900, this car fulfils the promise 9ff made to add up 300hp to 600 of standard Carrera GT, as the name declares! Apparently it’s done by bolting two turbos to the engine. Guys at Edo Competition has an exquisite taste, they always go cars you think is impossible to fiddle with! Cars like Maserati MC12 corsa, Porsche Carrera GT and now Ferrari FXX. This time though they haven’t done much in terms of performance, no change here actually, but what they’ve done, and it was their goal, is making FXX street legal. The extremely exclusive Ferrari FXX is a Race machine for those special ferrari customers who like to have a highly expensive trackday experience, and because of that racing theme it is not allowed on the roads. So what Edo has done to make it legal?

Well, they’ve fitted some lights on it,  a more tolerant suspension, hand brake, new windshield and they also changed the exhaust system so it can pass emission tests. Fine, But what’s the point of that dudes? Enzo is still out there, and when it is too rare that somebody drive that down the road, who’s gonna take his FXX on the streets! Afterall, this 800hp racer finally found a way to the world out of the tracks!
