Hennessey Performance released a video of one of their latest achievements. It’s a 2006 Ford GT equipped with Hennessey’s twin-turbo system. It makes well over 1000 hp, and you can clearly see the effect that power has in this video, as Sean Kennedy takes it right up to 235 mph – nearly 380 km/h. It’s amazing, how an engine that originally belongs to Ford F150 pickup truck has this much potential! And well done Hennessey. As always, they put their money where their mouth is.

According to Auto Express yes, next generation Ford GT will be powered by a hybrid powertrain consisting of a supercharged V8 and an electric motor that helps reducing fuel consumption significantly.

Well, to be honest not all of AE’s rumors turned out to be true, so we’re finding it hard to believe! But it actually makes sense. An additional electric motor that would also help with the acceleration when needed. They are also suggesting that the GT will become effectively a four-wheel-drive car with the V8 powering the rear wheels and the electric motor the front.

All good then, an efficient Ford GT with lots of power and better handling. But you see, Ford GT is not an ordinary car, it’s not like the Lambo Gallardo that you can do anything with it, this car has tons of heritage and legacy behind it. For the same reason its shape hasn’t changed much throughout the years, it can’t become a soft and cuddly four-wheel-drive all of a sudden!

That said in this wild world we live in, anything’s possible!

Heffner proved once again that when it comes to turbocharging supercar no one does it better than them! At Exotics Rally Miami in Florida their bright yellow twin-turbo Ford GT prepared for Ray Hofman set an incredible speed record clocking 266.93 MPH or almost 430 KPH at the end of the mile. The amazing thing is that apart from a few aero parts, the car looks pretty much stock! And yet it’s faster than a Veyron. It’s not confirmed yet, but the word is Hefner’s GT packs 1,900 HP!

FIA GT racing series is the coolest form of motorsport because almost all of the contenders are the high-end supercars! And here’s one of them coolest, a Ford GT prepared by Swiss team Matech Competition and it’s just superb. This car will compete in the GT1 category in 2010 season and will go head to head with race cars like Aston Martin DBR9, Dodge Viper, Corvette C6R, and the new comer Nissan GT-R. 2010 seems to be a great year for motorsport fans!

As you know German tuner Geiger Cars only does American cars, and although late but they finally released a proper package for one of’em best, Ford GT. The 5.4 liter V8 unit in the GT, which by the way comes form the f-150 pickup truck! has been given a larger supercharger (4.0 liter instead of the standard 2.3) along with sport air filters,Larger throttle valves, ECU upgrade and an improved cooling system. The result is a staggering 790 horsepower and 863 Nm of torque.

Therefore, this HP 790 GT delivers extraordinary performance. 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 9.6 seconds, and 0-300 km/h in 22.8 seconds. And amazingly the car can still accelerate right up to 360 km/h!

Geiger had to do some serious work on the chassis and suspension to keep this tremendously fast beast under control. They have fitted it with a new coil-over suspension which reduces the ride height by 60mm! Then they installed 9×20 inches-front and 11×21-rear matte black wheels wrapped in 245/35R20 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires on the front and 325/30R21 at the back.

Heffener Performance, the exotic tuner, teamed up with the fashion artist Camilo Pardo, chief designer of Ford GT and made a very special one. While Heffner was fiddling with performance, Pardo added some nice design enhancement to the car, and the result is really cool. Heffner’s twin turbo V8 checks out more than 900 horsepower.

Ford GT has received the Heffner Twin Turbo system which is already proven on the road as well as the racetrack. By any means, the aesthetic skills of Camilo have elevated this vehicle to a whole new level. It is an arresting car on the street, maintaining the elegance of the GT but with an intensity that screams out for swiftness. The Camilo Edition Heffner Performance TT GT also comes with a Setrab transmission cooler for extra performance improvement.
