Ford Focus RS GGR RS370FR! that’s a big name for a car and specially a hatchback, but after all this is not an ordinary car anyway! This is a creation of Graham Goode Racing Ltd (GGR) based on the 300hp Ford Focus RS mkII. With the GGR treatment, the 2.5 liter 5-cylinder engine of the RS chucks out 368bhp and 339lb.ft which is 22 percent more than standard, and that makes a lot of differences!

GGR’s engine tuning program consists of carbon fibre Cold Air Induction System (CAIS), large capacity air to air intercooler with alloy air diverter plates, large volume fuel injectors, silicone boost hoses, large bore exhaust turbo front pipe and sports catalyst section, and ECU remap using Superchip’s Bluefin and firmware upgrade.

“In our opinion, this is the optimum power and torque output for the car,” says GGR’s Technical Manager Alastair Mayne, “because even with the sophisticated Revoknuckle front suspension and Quaife ATB differential, gaining sufficient traction can be a problem. Bearing that in mind, we’ve made a conscious policy decision to limit the engine’s torque, although there’s certainly more to come from the motor if we wanted it,” Mayne continues, “because the RS370FR package is running relatively low levels of boost.”

You can order the GGR 370 package right now for £3750.00 plus VAT, and get a 12 month / 30,000 mile breakdown warranty.

In the world of hot hatchbacks Ford Focus RS has always been at the top of the hill for one good reason, it’s more powerful than all of the other opponents! But Graham Goode Racing (GGR) wants to make sure that this position is secured, so it gives the RS another 40hp via Superchips! 340 hp is the power you used to get from Ferraris not that long ago!

ford’s standard 2.5 liter Duratec engine produces 300hp with the help of turbochargers, what GGR has done is fiddling with the engine’s software, installing Superchips units on the ECU and there you go! Chip upgrade is simply the easiest and cleanest way to get extra juice out of every fuel injected engine.

Post upgrade, the Mk2 Focus RS produces power gains from just 2750rpm, with total output rising to a scintillating 340bhp at 5600rpm. Maximum available torque reaches a peak output of 397lb.ft at 3100rpm, highlighting the flexibility of GGR’s RS 340 performance package. For total peace of mind, GGR’s RS 340 performance upgrade is covered by Superchip’s comprehensive 12 month / 30,000 mile breakdown warranty.

Priced at £435.00 including VAT @ 15%, the GGR Mk2 Ford Focus RS 340 performance upgrade is available now from Graham Goode Racing Ltd. Additional levels of power upgrades are currently under development by GGR, incorporating mechanical modifications as well as bespoke engine management system calibration to suit.
