The new generation of Nissan 370Z sportscar made a big fuzz when it was launched and now comes the roadster version which will debut at this year’s New York Motor Show. The drop-top 370Z is powered by the same 327 hp V6 engine.

Like its predecessor it features a folding fabric roof which is electric, and also has a glass rear screen. With the roof gone, engineers had to stiffen up the car in places and as you know that would add weight, a lot of it. But as we know from the old 350Z roadster, that wouldn’t spoil the ride and handling.The roadster comes with a stiffer setup so it will have a more sublime ride, focusing on the cruiser side of the car rather than the sport side. So it’ll be more comfi than the hardtop, but the coupe would remain the choice for someone who seeks thrill with an affordable nicely proportioned package. However if the added weight made the car a bit slow for your taste you can wait for the Nismo edition to come out!

But reportedly, they are going to have one month delay in starting production and according to officials it is not due to any problem or something, apparently it has something to do with marketing strategies! As GM believes that “Camaro exceeds the highest quality benchmarks.” Also based on some unofficial convertible version of the car, which currently is a concept, will be available in 2010 as the 2011 model. They also have some power figures : 400 hp for L99 and 426 hp for LS3.

This Challenger SRT8 started life as a normal one which was very happy of its 425 horses, but guys at RDP Performance from Ohio has turned it into a twin-supercharged 1000 hp monster. Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series is the ultimate tuning work for a luxury Merc and with a price tag of $320,000 it classifies in the supercar section.  However guys at Automobile Mag recently put it on dyno and showed that almost a 100 of its horses disappears in the distance from the engine to rear wheels! The car’s official power figures are 651 hp @ 5400 rpm and 738 lb-ft @ 2200 – 4200 rpm, but what they actually got was 573 hp @ 5300 rpm and 682 lb-ft @ 3620 rpm in third gear.

No matter, power is not everything! It is the whole package. And SL65 Black is brilliant in every sense. If you only need power, buy a dragster, but this car is the ultimate because you can experience the ultimate joy in it.

Edo Competition tuning firm always picks serious cars to modify and they always do a great job. This time though, while the car is fine and they did a good job of bumping the power to 700 hp and 710 Nm torque, but visuals just did not work as well. Apparently it is a joint project with the designer Christian Audigier, who has ruined the car by painting some skulls on it. Mercifully they only will make 5 of this car!

Here it is, the Nismo S-tune version of upcoming Nissan 370Z.  Based on the Fair Lady (Japanese for 370Z!) Nismo has done a traditional job on this, exterior, interior and powertrain. But it looks like a strange sea creature!

Bodywise, it features new bumpers, flaps, skirts and spoilers, so it is unmistakable with an ordinary fair lady.  Interior but, apart from Nismo batches, there is only new floor mats and 4 new gear knobs to choose from. And for performance, it has a new exhaust system with WELDINA stainless steel muffler and Nismo S-tune brake package. 370Z S runs on 19″ Nismo LMZ5 aluminum wheels and rides on an upgraded S-tune suspension. After months of uncertainty about whether such thing even exist, some Japanese prints hit the web revealing specs of the Godzilla evolution, GTR Spec-V. First things first, around the same track it is 2 seconds faster than the normal GTR.

Developing 485 Hp, the engine comes with an A1GP style Overboost feature by which you can show off your performance when overtaking somebody. GeigerCars, a German tuning firm that specializes in American cars, mostly Muscles, presented their latest work on 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. Bumping up the power from 425 to 569hp.

Challenger, even in the most powerful variant has not enough guts to keep up with the fierce competition in this market where family sedans are coming with 500+ hp powerplants, Geiger noticed that and tried to solve it. Their makeover includes Kompressor kits and new stainless exhaust system, which are good for 569hp and 680nm of torque. Also there is a braking upgrade package with much bigger discs and an adjustable H&R suspension.

Nobody gets excited by news about a diesel engine, but when AMG comes before it, even walking is exciting! Now AMG boss, Volker Mornhinweg announced that the company is actually working on a high performance diesel and it’s set to be released in 2012. This engine will be good as it is based on AMG Hammer, a high performance sedan from old days which was powered by a 5.6L V8 and was capable of 360 hp, which was alot in 1986. So potentially, it can be world’s first cool diesel engine.

Focus ST is one of the hottest in the world of hot hatch backs, but that didn’t prevent guys at Loder1899 to heat it up a bit more.  the 2.5 litre unit in this is now checking out 270 hp which is good for top speed of 250 kph while 0-100 is met within 6.5 seconds. Loder is good with bodykits too, so they’ve come up with new bumpers and spoilers for ST, and wheels which might look like stock ones but they measure at 20″, big for a car in size of a sneaker! also a new exhaust system add up to the task and you can expect normal recipe for interior as well.

Chrysler is sinking gradually these days, and if  a good buyer doesn’t appear soon things can get really ugly for them, However there are some unique icons in the company that just cannot be taken for granted. The Jeep brand itself has a glorious history which alone worth more than all of Chrysler’s recent rubbish products, and as experts of business say it is the only valuable thing remained  in the big C, so an Arab-American company decided to take this out of the sea and give it a re-birth in form of J8. Yes it s almost entirely the same old Wrangler, but you don’t wanna mess with a good thing.  Jeep J8 comes with a new 4cylinder diesel engine with 158 hp and 295 lb-ft. torque. The unique structure of this thing, even while stands still, promises off-road capability like nothing else.

So, it feels good to hear that Economy Tsunami cannot take all of things we love away, There are still enough nice guys to come up with solutions. Solutions that big companies with all of their funds cannot arrive at. I just wonder, if a small company can re-launch a brand, why can’t Chrysler itself?! That brings us to conclusion that the constant downfall of company in recent years is exact result of managerial ignorance!

As it is with Edo, the most attention is paid to performance where Cayenne’s V8 is now producing 450 HP and 530 Nm of torque, due to ECU remapping, performance air filter and new high-flow catalytic converters. German Porsche specialist 9ff just got to the point by releasing a single photo of GT9R and mentioning its power output at 1120 hp and 1050 Nm of torque. This is actually an evolution of GT9 model which was capable of 987hp but this being 9ff, they always push out for more! The matter is how this car is gonna put this massive power to the ground, as Top Gear showed in previous season with GT9, it’ll spin the wheels for the first quarter mile before it really gets going!
