While everyone is pretty excited to see the latest cars with heavy mods at SEMA, MEC Design has come up with a package for the very old Mercedes C-Class W203.

This to be honest is more relevant to average customers than all those fancy show cars at SEMA.

The old gal here has got a Carlsson bumper package, mirror covers with LED lights, White matt folie wrap, tail lights and 3rd Brake light glazed mat, Black lights in LED technology, Perforated brake discs front and rear,  and Red brake calipers. At this point I wanted to say it looks fresh as new, but come on, the design is like 10 years old. There is only so much you can do about it.

Apart from the visual upgrades, W203 also gets MEC’s lowering springs that drop the car by 30mm and Bilstein sports dampers, plus stainless steel sport mufflers, 2x90mm beveled, and a set of mecxtreme3 20-inch matte black wheels ( 9 +10.5 x20 with 235/30 + 285/25 ZR 20 ).

Just for funsies Cadillac pit the big Escalade against the lean and fit Mercedes C-Class Sport in a drag race. The Caddy wins, obviously, because it’s Cadillac’s own test. And you can’t really trust it, because of course they are biased. But the little side joke is actually brilliant. After the race the Escalade tows the Mercedes back! Caddy Escalade really is a capable car, and it’s very cool. Gotta Love it.

The latest TV spot for the new Mercedes C Class boasts its ATTENTION ASSIST system. This system has sensors and stuff that detects if the driver is drowsy and warns he or she to take a break. The title Diner hints at that. You see, if it wasn’t for the drowsiness sensor the lady in this video wouldn’t stop by that diner full of  creepy people and encounter a potential date! So this system also works as a dating service. It’s a stupid ad to be honest.

If the pictures of the new Mercedes C Coupe were not very exciting to you then maybe its video will be! This car is what a new CLK would have been if it wasn’t killed off. Granted, it’s too like a C Class sedan but that is a fine car which makes it a fine coupe at a lower price – around 35,000 euros – than the E Class Coupe. The car gets a whole range of petrol and diesel four and six-cylinder engines, but the V8 is reserved for the AMG version, which is still in the pipeline.

Mercedes Benz released a full gallery of the C-Class Coupe pictures, revealing the car in its full glory ahead of the official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. It is still hard to see the point of it, but when you think about it you have to conclude why not?!

They had all the ingredients ready, they just put them together and ended up with a fine new coupe! This car is based on the same platform as the C Class sedan and wagon and looks exactly the same as the new facelifted model. But it has two doors, obviously, and a lower roof line that makes it sportier and cooler.

Despite being a coupe, this C Class is a proper four-seater and not a 2+2 and it has the same dimensions inside as the sedan. You can trade rear passengers space for more luggage room thanks to the folding back seats. The interior design is also the same as the new C sedan, which itself is very similar to the rest of Mercedes’ new range. No objections here since it’s a fine design with decent build quality and materials.

As for the engines, although we have to wait for the official technical details to be sure, but it will be available with a whole range of BlueEfficiency powertrains including the 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbo with 115 kW/156 hp in the C180 coupe and 150 kW/204 hp in the C 250 Coupe, a 3.5 liter V6 with 306 hp/225kW in the C350, and a turbodiesel unit with 125 kW/170 hp in the C220 CDI and 150 kW/204 hp in the C250 CDI.

All units will get stop/start system as standard, and some will get the 7G-tronic seven-speed gearbox by default. It is optionally available for all engines.

This car will also benefit from an AMG sport pack, but if you want the real deal you should wait a couple of months for the full-on AMG version of the C Coupe which will probably be a Black Series. That is going to be a real M3 killer.

Equipments and features of the Mercedes C Class Coupe is the same as the C Class sedan and includes an advanced multimedia system, the new COMMAND, and an array of safety and convenience features such as lane keeping system and blind-spot detection.

Pricing and availability of the C Coupe for different markets are yet to be announced. For now check out the pictures:

A new set of Mercedes C-Class Coupe images have leaked out again prior to the car’s debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and this time they’re for real and not just some renderings!

We are still not sure what’s the point of this car, because in many ways it’s very similar to the E-Class Coupe that’s currently in the market rivaling BMW 3 Series and Audi A5. In fact an uninterested eye won’t be able to tell them apart. It can’t be considered as an alternative for those who can’t afford the E-Coupe too, because well it won’t be that cheap and those who can buy this car can certainly afford the E-Class as well!

Anyhow, Mercedes must have its reasons for making this. We just wish now that they’ve made it, they could make it a bit different than the C-Class. It is basically a new C-Class Facelift inside and out but with two-doors and a blacked-out roof.

So to be honest Mercedes C Class Coupe is not a very interesting car, but don’t despair because there’s a very hot AMG version of it in the works which is very very interesting! That car actually makes sense because there’s no AMG version of the E-Coupe and it’ll be a direct rival for BMW M3 and Audi S5. It’ll be the new CLK63 Black.

Car manufacturers never run out of ideas for their commercials! That said, sometimes they turn out to be quite pointless. Take this new TV spot for the 2011 Mercedes C-Class facelift called ‘Rocker’. It is supposed to reflect on the car’s refined interior. According to this commercial you’ll get high – or as Mercedes says it awakens previously unimagined enthusiasm – every time you set foot in the new C-Class! On that basis, the new C-Class should be illegal to sell and use!

Mercedes Benz TV released a new commercial for the 2011 Mercedes C Class facelift, which is very simple yet effective and it delivers the message! Apparently the new C Class estate can make even a biker to think of letting go his Harley and get that Merc becasue it is always ready for any surprises and adventures. Delivery of the new C Class starts from March, with prices starting at € 32,695.25 for the Saloon and € 34,361.25 for the Estate version.

As the new facelifted Mercedes C Class is showing its new things to people at the NAIAS, the marketing team in Europe is preparing the car for its market launch in March. And the first step is announcing the car’s official MSRP. Pricing starts at € 32,695.25 for the Saloon and € 34,361.25 for the Estate version, both the C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY model.

All the four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines available for the new C Class now benefit from BlueEfficiency system that reduces the fuel consumption and emissions by up to 30 percent. Also for the first time the car can be had with 4Matic system and 7G-TRONIC PLUS seven-speed automatic transmission on selected models.

2011 Mercedes C Class Facelift Price:

Mercedes leaks out the first official images of the new C-Class Coupe which is set for debut at 2011 Geneva Motor Show.These heavily photoshop’d shots show us a handsome coupe which rather surprisingly has a fixed B-pillar. It means that it might not have frameless door windows either.

This ca can be considered as a replacement for not so popular CLC class, but unlike that car the C Coupe remains loyal to most of the C Class sedan details. The interior for instance is pretty much the same as the daddy. Mercedes is also working on an AMG version of the new C Coupe which could be a Black Series. That’s going to be a very interesting car because apart from everything it’ll be an M3 killer!

The new look Mercedes C Class for 2011 has received a mild facelift to look fresh for the new year. It gets a new front-end with redesigned grille, bumper and headlines and slightly revised rear-end. The cabin is also completely new for the C-Class, but seen before in other Mercedes sedans. The changes are not that deep though, since a whole new model is in the works, to make debut sometime in 2012. Just in time for Detroit autoshow, Here’s the 2011 Mercedes C Class Facelift. The changes to the new model – both sedan and T-modell – are subtle, but effective. Specially at the front with new headlights, grille and a revised bumper featuring horizontal LED daytime running lights, the new C-Class has a fresh face, far more interesting than the current BMW 3 Series.

The styling tweaks at the back are less noticeable, but it comes with a new bumper and LED taillights. The side mirrors are also new, reminiscent to that of Mercedes’ sporty models. Mercedes says the new shape body is more aerodynamic efficient than the old model.

2011 C-Class also gets a new cabin which is very similar to other Mercedes saloons, specially the new CLS. It’s a nice design overall, and we’re glad they’ve given it a proper in-dash screen rather than fold-away one the old C-Class has!

Underneath the skin the new C-Class features more than 2000 new parts. It also comes with a number of features never been used before in a C-Class, such as start-stop function, 7g-tronic transmission and 4Matic AWD system.

It gets a new C250 CDI diesel variant, and an upgraded V6 for the C350 CGI BlueEfficiency model offering 306 hp and 370 Nm while averaging 6.8 liter/100 m which is 30 percent better than before. If it’s economy you are after then you should pick the C 220 CDI Blue Efficiency which manages an incredible 4.4 liter/100 km!

2011 Mercedes C-Class also comes with some high-tech features not usually seen in this segment, including driving aid system – such as drowsiness sensor, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control Distronic Plus, and… – and multimedia and convenience equipments -  like 3D sat nav, Bluetooth and Internet on the move.

You can place your orders for the new Mercedes C-Class sedan and station from January 2011, but deliveries start from March. Check out the picture of both models here:

These drawings which appear to be scanned off a magazine or something reveal how the new, facelifted Mercedes C Class of 2011 will look like, although they are not yet confirmed by the officials. For an uninterested eye the car looks pretty much the same as before, but if you look closer you notice the new headlights that are inspired by the E Class, and the new front bumper, which resembles that of the new Mercedes CLS.

Also at the back, the whole diffuser unit seems to inspired by the current SL-Class. So the car is in fact a mishmash of different bits from other Mercedes models, but the C Class is a handsome car and these changes will only make it better. The interior is also changed drastically and looks more similar to other cars of the current range.

Mercedes has let go of the sliding screen for the 2011 C Class and gives it a conventional one like the one you get in the E Class. The design and ergonomy of the new dashboard is also improved significantly. The current Mercedes C Class has always been criticized for the rubbish quality of the interior materials, but as Mercedes promised earlier, this will not be the case with the 2011 model.

Obviously the 2011 C Class will get a range of upgraded four and six-cylinder engines with BlueEfficiency technology, but the one we’re interested in is the V8 of the C63 AMG, which according to some reports won’t be the current 6.3 liter and the car will get the same 5.5 liter Biturbo as the new S63.

The best works of German tuning house VATH are those based on Mercedes AMG models. They have already made a magnificent package for the C63 AMG, but now they have devised another plan for the normal C250 CGI model, probably for those who cannot afford the AMG one! They have increased the standard 204 HP power of the car to 255 HP.

That also has 370 Nm of torque, but if you want more power you can order VÄTH charged air cooler and the VÄTH sports exhaust system as well. Those parts are quite expensive but will raise the power to 270 hp, and top speed to 260 km/h.

The car features an aerodynamic carbon fiber body kit, which seems to be a bit overdone, specially that bonnet which costs nearly 4,700 euros is not a good treat. The front spoiler lip, rear trunk lid wing and diffuser are not exactly pretty either but its their function that matters.

Other features of the car include 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels (8.5 inch wide at front and 9.5 inch wide at the back) wrapped in 235/35ZR19 and 265/30ZR19 tires, lowered suspension, high performance brakes (360mm discs at front with six-piston, 320mm and 4 pistons at the back), and carbon fiber interior trim.

The current series of Mercedes-Benz C Class type W204 is showing an amazing performance in sales as it passes the one million mark. The C-Class sedan was launched back in March 2007 and the Estate model in November 2007 and since then it has always been on e of the best selling mid-size sedans in all markets around the globe. The car offers Mercedes quality and style with a touch of sportiness, all in a well-priced package.

“The C-Class is our best-selling production series and therefore of great importance for Mercedes-Benz,” said Dr. Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing, Mercedes-Benz Cars. “We are therefore especially pleased that the vehicle is so popular with our customers. In June the sedan was the best-selling vehicle in its comparative class worldwide. Despite last year’s weak market environment, sales of the sedan are currently four percent higher than those of the predecessor model during the same period since its market launch. The estate has also met with an outstanding response, with deliveries increasing by 20 percent in June.”

Over 840,000 sedans and more than 160,000 estates have been sold since the vehicle was introduced. The current C-Class is therefore continuing the success of the previous C-Class generation: Around 1.9 million customers bought sedans and estates of the previous model series during the model’s life cycle. Mercedes-Benz has sold more than eight million vehicles in this segment since the first C-Class was introduced back in 1982.

The United States is the largest market for the C-Class sedan, accounting for
25 percent of total sales. The next-largest markets are Germany and China. A total of 29,600 C-Class cars were sold in the U.S. during the first half of the year, representing an increase of 15 percent on the same period last year. Deliveries totaled 14,300 units in Germany, while 12,100 customers bought a C-Class sedan in China during this period. Sales of the C-Class sedan rose by six percent worldwide during the first half of the year, to 120,300 units. The estate has also met with a great customer response, with deliveries substantially higher in nearly all markets in June 2010 compared to June 2009. The increase amounted to six percent in Germany, which is the largest market for the estate, while sales rose by 19 percent in Western Europe as a whole and by 47 percent in Japan, which is the fourth-largest market.

One of the main reasons why the C-Class has won over so many customers is its outstanding efficiency. In fact, Mercedes-Benz is now installing the state-of-the-art ECO start-stop function into the C-Class’ C 180 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY and C 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY models in connection with mechanical six-speed transmissions. The start-stop feature reduces the four-cylinder engine’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to ten percent. And thanks to gasoline direct injection, the engine has a higher output than the predecessor models. The most popular engine variant of the C-Class, the C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, will also be available with the ECO start-stop function and six-speed manual transmission in the future. The vehicle, which is already very fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly, will then consume only 4.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, or 0.4 liters less than is currently the case. What’s more, it will also cut CO2 emissions from 127 g/km to 117 g/km.

The new C-Class also offers other advantages besides the new efficient drive systems. According to a recent J.D. Power and Associates study in Germany, the car ranks at the top of its comparative class, boasting the most satisfied customers overall when it comes to quality, reliability, attractiveness, service, and maintenance costs.

Mercedes C-Class being the smallest four-door sedan the German manufacturer produces is taking a new role in which it is more economical than ever! Not only it’s getting a new 1.8 liter entry-level variant, it will come as standard with an intelligent start/stop system for all engines which in combination with the high-tech direct injection and manual gearbox, result in astonishing fuel economy.

The new C 180 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY is powered by a 1.8 liter petrol unit with 155-hp and 250 nm of torque. These numbers are greater than the outgoing model’s. And yet the fuel efficiency is improved and the carbon dioxide emissions are considerably less. It drinks 6.8 liters of petrol every 100 km.

Equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox, the C 180 CGI does 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds. So if it’s a slow for your taste, which it is, you can get the C 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY which has 181-hp with 270 Nm of torque and does zero to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. This model too comes with a six-speed manual tranny, but it is more economical and cleaner than the old model by 12 percent, averaging 6.8 liters per 100 km.

The diesel range of BlueEFFICIENCY engines for the C-class is also revised. You get the C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY model, again with a six-speed manual transmission, developing 170-hp and 400 nm of torque, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and yet returning average fuel consumption of just 4.4 liters per 100 km!

There’s also a high performance four-wheel-drive C 250 CDI 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY model which delivers 205-hp and peak torque of 500 Nm, doing 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds and fuel consumption of 6.4 liters per 100 km.

The new Mercedes-Benz C 180 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY (from €32,219.25) and C 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY (from €34,242.25) models can now be ordered from all authorised Mercedes-Benz dealers. The C 250 CDI 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY model (from €43,524.25) and the C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY model with ECO start/stop function (from €36,384.25) are available from autumn 2010 (German list prices incl. VAT). All new Mercedes-Benz C-Class model variants are available in either Saloon or Estate guise.

There are a lot of rumors flying around about the future models by Mercedes Benz. We had news about a shooting brake version of the CLS to be launched next year, and now other reports have emerged suggesting that Daimler is working on an AMG V12-powered version of the E-class! The E65 AMG has not been confirmed yet, what has been confirmed is the new C-Class coupe which replaces the old not so successful C-coupe. This model is planned for 2011.

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen is gearing up for the production of a fourth model of the high-volume C-Class model range. As of 2011, a Coupé will be added to a flexible production line, which already produces the three existing models. This will be a new addition to Bremen’s current production portfolio in the C-Class segment, comprising the Saloon, the Estate and the compact GLK sport utility vehicle (SUV).”The decision by the Board of Management to produce the Coupé version of the current C-Class here in Bremen as well represents another important milestone on our way to becoming Mercedes’ competence centre for the C-Class and is a clear sign of the trust in the Bremen team’s capabilities and standards,” says Peter Schabert, Head of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen.

The Bremen plant is developed into the worldwide competence centre for the high-volume C-Class model series. Allocating production of the new Coupé to the plant is in keeping with this strategy. As announced in December 2009, the launch of the next generation of the C-Class at the plant as of 2014 will see production of the C-Class Saloon for markets in Europe concentrated at a single location together with the production of the other C-Class model variants.

The Bremen plant is already demonstrating the flexibility of its production operations by producing three models (C-Class Saloon, C-Class Estate and GLK) on a single assembly line. The vehicles are able to pass along the assembly line in any conceivable order precisely as customer orders require, irrespective of model, variant (right- or left-hand drive, all-wheel or rear-wheel drive) and equipment. From 2011 the Bremen plant will be integrating a fourth model into the production process in the guise of the Coupé, demonstrating the plant’s flexibility once again.

Mercedes Benz specialists at Piecha design tuning center have come up with a styling package for the Mercedes C-class estate or as Germans call it T-Modell, which turns it to a C63 AMG lookalike! These kinda of sporty station wagon cars which offer great practicality with cool looks and good performance are very popular in Europe and specially Germany. So if you cannot afford a real AMG Mercedes Wagon, here’s your alternative!

Piecha’s kit consists of a front spoiler lip, LED and fog lights, head light eyebrows, side skirts, and an AMG-style rear diffuser with a pair of integrated twin exhausts. You can have the front spoiler and the diffuser made entirely from carbon fiber, but then you will have to pay a whole lot more money for them!

The C-class T-modell by Piecha also comes with magnificent 19-inch Piecha dp2 Phantom wheels wrapped in Dunlop Sport Maxx tires size 225/35 at front and 255/30 at the back.

The tuner also offers threaded suspension, sport springs and a CS power unit fro the car.

Following the success of the E-Class Executive SE, from November 2009 Mercedes Benz is offering a new Special Edition of the Mercedes C-Class in the U.K featuring exterior styling pack and interior upgrades. Available in both sedan and estate formats, the C-Class SE is equipped with the C 180 KOMPRESSOR BlueEFFICIENCY engine.

This engine is capable of 156hp while returning 44.8 mpg on the combined cycle, thanks to the BlueEFFICIENCY technology. It also emits 154 g/km CO2 gas. Equipped with a manual gearbox, the car features Hill Start Assist, removing the need to operate the parking brake whilst moving away from a standstill. The system holds the car for a second enabling the driver to move from the brake onto the accelerator for a smooth pull away.

The C-Class Executive SE will feature the Sport Grille with the integrated Mercedes-Benz star, usually exclusive to the Sport model. New look 16” ‘Pristix’ alloy wheels will also be a distinguishing feature and the boot lid and exhaust will boast chrome trim finishes.

As for the interior COMMAND system as standard which includes hard disk drive navigation, Linguatronic voice control, a 6 GB music register and a PCMCIA slot. All of which can be fully controlled through the Executive SE’s upgraded multi-function steering wheel.

Coming with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty, the C-class Executive SE costs £23,190.64 for the saloon and £24,390.11 for the Estate version.

To give the Mercedes C-Class a fresh look and breath, VATH Automobiltechnik has come up a new package . In terms of aerodynamics the car features a sleek bodykit with revised bumpers and new spoilers. Amazingly it looks much better without the Mercedes badge in the grille!! As for performance VATH adds its own supercharger(Compressor) to the engine and also fiddle with the ECU which takes the power up from 184 to 215 hp. This power upgrade costs fairly low at 1700 euros. You can spend another 300 euros on new sport springs which drops the car for almost 5cm so VATH wheels would look much better.
