If you wondering why the new 2013 Nissan 370Z is pretty much the same car ad last year, that could be because Nissan do not know what to with it. Here they’re asking Facebook fans to weigh in and give them ideas.

It’s not for a new 370Z, mind you. It’s the Project 370Z campaign whose goal is to create the ultimate tricked-out Nissan 370Z with ideas that Nissan Z enthusiasts think are best.

What you do is log on facebook.com/nissanperformance and vote on potential modifications and follow along with the progress online. The finished product will be revealed as a one-off 370Z at the annual “ZDayZ” event.

Project 370Z will be built in several phases – power, handling/brakes, interior and exterior.  Fan Likes, Comments and Wall Posts will be reviewed over the course of each voting session and the part or accessory with the most fan support will be chosen for the build. For example, in the initial Power Phase, fans might vote between a turbocharger or supercharger for the factory 3.7-liter V6.  Phase 2 may include suspension and braking system, since the finished vehicle is expected to see substantial track time.

“Car companies build project vehicles all the time, but we thought it’d be interesting to harness the power of social media to reach out to Z® enthusiasts – the people who are doing this to their own cars everyday,” said Jon Brancheau, vice president, Nissan Marketing, NNA.  “Together we’ll create a vehicle that expands on the already outstanding performance and style of the Nissan 370Z with a balance of street and track ready modifications.  Then we’ll share the finished project at upcoming Z® car enthusiast gatherings around the country.”

At 2012 Chicago Autoshow Nissan unveils the 2013MY 370Z sports car, and as you’d expect from a modelyear upgrade, changes are very subtle.

The new model goes on sale from June, featuring a number of visual upgrades and revised suspension. The most important changes on the outside is the addition of new vertical LED lights, redesigned wheels, and red brake calipers. There’s also two new colors to choose from.

The Nismo model doesn’t benefit from the visual tweaks, but gets a new Bose Premium Audio Package with two additional speakers and two subwoofers, premium gun metallic dark-finish 19-inch wheels, and Nissan GT-R style high-rigidity brake hoses and performance brake fluid.

The engine remains the same, a 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine and choice of 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission. The Nismo has a tuned version of that engine with 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque but only one transmission , a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission featuring the SynchroRev Match system.

Models with Sport package fitted also get the Euro-tuned shock absorbers. Nismo doesn’t get that either.

The updates for the new model year include:

Nismo and Nissan Motorsport are offering a track-only version of the Nismo 370Z for the fans of track days.

The car is based on the road-going Nismo 370, but converted into a track-ready racer with FIA regulations. It features FIA-compliant roll cage, fire extinguisher, racing seat and numerous NISMO performance upgrades.

The car complies with FIA GT4 and World Challenge GTS class and with a bit of fiddling you can even enter it in Grand Am Continental Tire Challenge GS class.

Nismo 370Z RC Race Car features include NISMO race exhaust, NISMO tuned ECM, high capacity NISMO clutch, flywheel, engine oil, transmission and differential coolers and a Recaro racing seat with 6-point racing harness, as well as Sparco racing steering wheel and a revamped and race-ready carbon fiber switch panel.

The 2,954 lbs car is powered by the same 3.7 liter Nissan VQ37VHR engine as the street-legal Nismo 370, with 355 horsepower and 276 ft. lbs. of torque.

Nissan confirmed the U.S. pricing for the complete lineup of 2012 Nissan 370Z models, including 370Z Coupe, 370Z Roadster and NISMO 370Z.

For 2012 the Japanese sportscar gets an oil cooler and new technology features. Despite that pricing for the 2012 370Z Coupe and 370Z Roadster is unchanged from 2011.

Both these cars are powered by the 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine and offer the choice of either a six-seed manual with Downshift Rev Matching system or a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, paddle shifters, and the same rev system.

370Z Coupe pricing:

370Z Roadser pricing:

The NISMO 370Z as the sportier version of the car gets a tweaked powertain with 350 hp and an aerodynamic body kit, H-configured exhaust system design, uprated suspension, 19-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy, sport brakes and Viscous Limited-Slip Differential, as its main features. It is only available with a six-speed manual geaebox.

Nissan launches the special edition 370Z GT Edition in the UK, celebrating Nissan’s global success in GT racing and 40 years of Z in the country.

Nissan 370Z GT Edition features unique body colors, GT stripes, darkened 19inch RAYS forged alloy wheels, uprated suspension and more equipments than standard models. In terms of visual features, the special side stripes pay homage to the original Z cars of 1970s. It comes in three colors Pearl White, Kuro (metallic) black and Black Rose, the latter shade is exclusive to GT Edition, and as mentioned benefits from 19inch RAYS forged alloy wheels finished in a dramatic dark anthracite colour.

Upgraded equipments of the car include a rear view parking camera as part of the Premium Connect satellite navigation system and the fitment of a tyre pressure monitoring system, while the automatic gearbox now gets a snow mode. Refinement is enhanced by revisions to underbody insulation to reduce road noise.

The V6 engine remains intact. Nissan 370Z GT Edition Price is now available to order priced from £35,000 with first deliveries expected from 1 June 2011.

Nissan released details of the 2011 Model Year 370Z Coupe and Roadster, which have become more refined than before and get new equipments.

The first issue with the 370Z sportscar which Nissan says they have addressed in the 2011 model is the ride quality and comfort. The old models were a bit jiggly but the new one comes with revised suspension and refined chassis settings. It also gets double wishbones at the front and a multi-link rear while the dampers are retuned to enhance ride comfort and high speed handling.

The changes provide significantly improved vertical wheel control resulting in a flatter ride on all surfaces and improved comfort on motorway/autobahn surfaces. In addition, high-speed stability is enhanced with better body control while road noise is better isolated thanks to changes to underbody insulation.

Other upgrade targets the seven-speed automatic gearbox which now comes with a a snow mode for slippery surfaces. With this mode engaged, the car sets off in second gear. The 3.7-litre V6 engine remains unchanged however with the same output of 328 PS and an impressive 366Nm of torque. As before you can have it with a short throw six-speed sports manual gearbox or the aforementioned seven-speed automatic. The manual box comes with the amazing Synchro Rev Control which blips the engine automatically on downshifts.

Technical stuff aside, the new 370Z also benefits from better convenience thanks to the new equipments it has. It now comes with a rear-view parking camera as part of the Nissan Premium Connect satellite navigation option and the standard fitment of a tyre pressure monitoring system. The latter is integrated into the dashboard computer display and operates a warning light should tyre pressures fall.

If Nissan’s claims about improved ride and handling are true, then the 2011 370Z is one of the finest affordable sports cars you can buy today. Our pick is the Roadster because it has a kind of style that you can enjoy even when you see its reflection in the shop’s window!

Nissan America released pricing details of the 2011 370Z range including the 370Z Coupe, 370Z Roadster and NISMO 370Z.  Designwise, the new model is not different than the last year’s, but it comes with some new stuff like RearView Monitor to the optional Navigation Package and one new exterior color, Gun Metallic.

Senner realizes that the Nissan 370Z is mostly bought by yobs young fellas who like rollin’ n flexin’ rather than driving, so their new package for the car address their needs in a professional way! And they give it a perfect name: The Asphalt Surfer. It’s a rather good job to be honest, well save that stupid graphic on the sides, which increases the 370z’s sporting appeal.

So you get 20-inch Barracuda Tzunamee wheels in either black or silver, both looking rather ghastly to be honest, wrapped up in Vredstein tires size 245/35 R20 front and 275/30 R20 at the rear. Even though Nissan is still in danger of being sued by Porsche over some inappropriate commercial they launched during Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Japanese car maker is taking another hit at the Germans by planning a new campaign, which is called “How To Beat The Germans”! Nissan says Germans sportscars shouldn’t be the only benchmark for performance and quality.

In this case they are challenging Porsche Boxter, Audi TT and BMW Z4, by comparing them with their 370Z Sportscar which offers better performance for less money. The thing is though, 370Z comes with a Nissan badge whereas the others are sporting Porsche, Audi and BMW badges, so while it might be a better car, it’s not the coolest!

Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd has launched a challenging new series of poster and print adverts to highlight the fact that the Nissan 370Z and the flagship Nissan GT-R have superior performance and yet cost less than their comparable German rivals.

The campaign uses tongue-in-cheek phrases such as “The Winner Hans Down,” “The Germans Came Off Wurst,” “Kaisers Chiefed” and “Deutschland Deutschland Über-Rated” in order to make people question why they would buy German brands when Nissan can offer performance at a more accessible price.

Last week, Nissan brought the advertising to life, taking an Audi TTS manual coupe around the streets of London blazoned with the words: “More expensive, slower and less powerful than a Nissan 370Z.”  It was joined by a Porsche Cayman bearing the slogan: “I dream of being as fast as a Nissan 370Z” on the side. Other cars featured in the advertising campaign include versions of the BMW Z4 as well as the Porsche Boxster and 911*.

The campaign was officially launched on the giant 360-degree 47ft tall BFI IMAX billboard at Waterloo, London, and will continue to appear in key national men’s lifestyle and motoring titles, plus outdoor poster sites across the UK over the next six months.

Talking of the campaign, Steve McLennan, Nissan Marketing Director explains: “It simply challenges the convention of German sportscars being the only benchmark for performance and quality.

“Nissan is confident in the ability of 370Z and GT-R to eclipse our comparable German rivals in terms of outright performance and accessibility and it’s now time to shout about it.”

German tuner Cobra Technologies, who are particularly fond of Nissan Z cars, released a new package for the 370Z Roadster. You get a carbon fiber look aero pack including spoiler lip, boot lid wing and rear diffuser, plus wheels and suspension adjustment, but the main feature is the COBRA N+ sport exhaust system. These remote-controlled exhausts which have 120mm pipes, come with some butterfly valves acting like a dial changing the car’s soundtrack!

Shell has come up with a new commercial which features an ultra transparent Nissan 370Z to show how the lubricant works inside the car. It’s really awesome and the coolest thing is that’s real, no CGI or cinematic tricks here! Nissan announced that they will release a special edition of the 370Z Coupe model, called the Black, paying tribute to the original Datsun 240Z, as the legendary car turns 40. Limited to 370 units, the 370Z Black can be had with two scratch resistant exterior shades including black and quartz, and it also carries a 40th anniversary badge.

Other unique exterior features include dark grey 19” aluminium forged RAYS wheels and red brake calipers.

As for the interior, you get exclusive features such as unique red leather & suede appointed interior (seats & door trim) with embossed 40th Anniversary logo seats, smooth leather wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, Red stitching on the centre cluster, centre console and knee pads, Nissan’s Connect Premium state-of-the-art combined touch-screen satellite navigation and audio system with USB connectivity.

The engine however remains intact.You still get the same 3.7-litre 24-valve twin cam V6 with 330 hp. Prices starts from £33,645 for the manual and £35,045 for the automatic transmission.

The new Nissan 370Z sports coupe has kicked off to a good start in the market and now the company is planning on releasing different editions of this car to make more money out of it! From Spring 2010, they will launch the 40th anniversary special edition, paying homage to the original Datsun 240Z, which is limited to 1000 units and starts at $38,860 USD. This model comes with the with Sport Package and special equipments.

This is the 2010 show car of the Italian tire manufacturer Marangoni, which is styled by TRC Italia. Called the 370 Z-Hydro, the car features a body kit inspired by Nissan GT-R consisting of a revised bumper with large air intakes at front, side skirts and a carbon rear wing and diffuser as well as carbon mirrors.

The Hydro in the car’s name refers to the new Hydro-drive-system installed on its engine, which they say reduces the emissions and fuel consumption. The concept is that by injecting a kind of catalytic gas into the intake manifolds, unburned hydrocarbons will be cut to almost zero!

But the main feature of the this 370 is the reason it’s made in the first place! To show off Marangoni’s new “M-Power Blue” 20-inch high performance tires wrapped around 10 double-spoke Oxrock Black rims. The Z-Hydro also has a KW coil-over suspension system which drops it by 4 inches, and KW HLS hydraulic lift system which can raise the front axle by 5 inches. It is fitted with 400mm brake discs and 12-piston calipers as well.

For the interior, you get sport seats and instrument panels with leather and alcantara upholstery and blue trimming for the dashboard.

Nissan has announced official pricing on the new 2010 MY 370Z Coupe, which is no available in dealers all across the U.S. Like the previous models, the new one also starts under $30K, which makes it one of the most affordable yet satisfying sportscars on the market today. First things first, what we know as the Nissan 370Z is known as the Fairlady Z in Japan and today Nissan released details of a special limited edition which is here to mark the 40th anniversary of this unique sportscar. In addition to this special model, Nissan has also launched the Roadster version of the 370Z into the Japanese domestic market.

The Fairlady Z 40th Anniv. is based on the ST model of the 370 Z which can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic powered by the same 3.7 liter V6 as the same of the range. Since this car is a new year model, Nissan gave it some enhancements over the 2009 version including the adoption of an HDD CARWINGS navigation system with a built-in terrestrial digital TV receiver, an advanced map update system and iPod^® connection. Today Nissan announced official MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) for 2010 370Z Roadster in the North American market. The drop-top 370Z base model starts at $37,690 (including destination charge). That’s with the manual gearbox, automatic option will add $1300.  It is almost seven grand more expensive than the hard-top equivalent. The top pf the line model loaded with options and an automatic transmission will cost you $42,540.

The 2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster is offered in four models. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices* (MSRP) start at $36,970 USD for the 370Z Roadster 6MT and $38,270 USD for the 370Z Roadster 7AT. Nissan has opend its new shop called “Nissan Sports Cars” at Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. It covers 500 square meters and apart from merchandising and Nissan-signed goods (who’s interested in that?!) they have a stand for selling cars, obviously, where you find Nissan GT-R, obviously again! and Nissan 370Z Nurburgring special edition.

Nissan GT-R is actually the reason why the Japanese firm is there. This car owes a big part of its sales success to the fame it gained by beating Porsche Turbo around the green hell. So it makes perfect sense to give it its own corner in the facility, for more sales and more marketing hype. It also helps Nissan promote other cars, such as the 370Z, even if they are not real Ring masters!

We’ve already seen Nismo Nissan 370Z as the first tuning package for the new catfish, and that was really ugly to be honest! Now this is the Cobra N+ package for the car which, mercifully, doesn’t mess with the shape and focuses on aerodynamics. There is a new front splitter at front and an integrated diffuser in the rear bumper.

A pair of steel tailpipes linked to a new sport exhaust system are also a very nice touch. Extra parts are all finished in carbon fiber theme.  Carbon N+ makes the Nissan 370Z to look and feel more sporty and for that reason they have lowered the sport suspension and fitted the car with 19 inch lightweight CN22 alloys with sport tires giving more grip.

Cobra N+ also offers a nice sound system! Nope, not a high-end stereo, it’s a new sport exhaust system which let’s you choose between discrete city driving sound or sport exhaust noise which apparently is quit loud! you can control this system electronically via a button inside the cabin. You can also opt for the conventional exhausts with steel mufflers.

Nissan today introduced the special edition Nissan 370Z Yellow which is specifically for the British market. The car is painted in yellow, hence the name!, and features some distinctive visual changes along with a few interior upgrades.

The car’s design cues are derived from the racing 370Z which competes in European GT4 series, you can notice graphics on the sides of the car and 19-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels. Inside you get black leather and suede trimming, illuminated entry plates, special mats and a BOSE sound system along with standard features of the 370.

Nissan 370Z Yellow uses the same 331hp V6 engine as in the regular models and is priced at £31,650 for manual and £33,050 for the automatic transmission. It’ll go on sale from September.

It’s already the one bright spot in the affordable sports car market, but now Nissan is going for gold with a special version of the storming 370Z coupe. Not for shrinking violets, the new 370Z Yellow lives up to its name in spectacular fashion.

Ultimate Yellow is the paint job and it signals a 370Z with everything that people expect of the 331PS sportster along with a rare exclusivity – there will be a limited number of Yellows available – and a potent visual impact that takes the 370Z’s muscular looks to new heights. Some cars were just born to be yellow.

The 370Z Yellow gets design cues that nod at the racing 370Zs from the European GT4 series. The wheels are 19-inch RAYS forged alloys and along the flanks are special 370Z graphics, both items setting off the gleaming yellow body to perfection.

Inside the contrast could not be greater: the theme here is black leather and suede. There’s an integrated satellite navigation system, illuminated entry plates, special mats and a BOSE audio with eight speakers and a six-CD autochanger. The sophistication continues with heated seats, cruise control, speed limiter and all the other features from the 370Z GT Pack on which the special Yellow model is based.

The 370Z Yellow is, like all the new-generation versions of this world famous sports car dynasty, powered by an enthusiast’s delight of a V6 engine. It pumps out 331PS at 7000rpm backed up by a meaty 270lb ft of pulling power.

With a six-speed manual box (a seven-speed automatic is optional), the Yellow sprints from rest to 62mph in 5.3sec and goes on to a restricted top speed of 155mph. A synchronised rev control during downchanges reminds you just how good the engine sounds – even when just trundling to the shops.

The Yellows for the UK are available from all participating Nissan dealers but definitely from all High Performance Centres where its big brother the GT-R is exclusively sold. The first cars will be available from September with prices from £31,650 (manual gears) or £33,050 (automatic).
