There used to be a time when turbocharged Porsche 911s were among the world’s top five widow makers! And this 993 GT2 was one of them best. The 450 hp monster was basically a race car with license plate. Its brutality is of course what makes it interesting in this age of PASM and PDK. This special edition of Porsche Experience TV features the GT2 and reveals some fascinating facts about it.

I don’t know what possessed Wimmer RS tuners to think about modifying a beast such as Porsche GT2, but whatever the inspiration was, it was strong! Because they have gone berserk with the car and managed to extract a simply colossal 827 hp and 948 Nm of torque. Now the only thing you need is a pair of stainless steel balls to drive it! cuz it’s pretty darn fast!

It is in fact ridiculously fast! zero to 100 km/h is done in 3.38 seconds but that is nothing compare to the car’s to speed of 387 km/h.

But have they done to that flat-six engine to achieve this much power? The Wimmer GT2 Speed Bi-Turbo Power Package includes very sophisticated engine retrofitting. Besides the modifications of the engine block, pistons, piston rods, injection nozzles, sports camshafts, inlet system, throttle valve and the installation of an intercooler, Wimmer uses absolutely new engine software. Nevertheless, the centerpiece of the engine retrofit is the two high performance Wimmer turbochargers blowing a heavy load of air into the combustion chambers. The specially produced Wimmer Sport Exhaust System in complex with the welded exhaust manifold and two exhaust systems provide for furious roaring and whooshing – GT2 Speed replies to every push of the gas pedal by an incredible boost!

Wimmer GT2 Speed is also decorated to some extent to be distinguished from ordinary GT2s by carbon fiber mirrors, spoiler lip and rear wing. There is also a new set of Sportec 20-inch wheels under the car wrapped in Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires (235/30-20 front and 325/25-20 rear). The suspension system is also upgraded with H&R springs.

Driving the Wimmer GT2 will definitely be quit fun. Dangerous maybe but in a fun way! Mind you the price of this fun is a bit quit high at €281,000!

Looks like tuners around the world has started a horsepower war with this Porsche 911 GT2! It’s the second one we feature today and it has 50 more horsepower than the Switzer’s GT2 with 800hp! This one is a creation of the best name in business, 9ff. And they’ve called it BT-2.

For the 9ff BT-2 numbers speak for themselves! 850 hp and 920 nm of torque which translate into 0-100 time of 3.0 seconds, 0-200 in 8.7 seconds, 0-300 in 18.5 seconds and top speed of 386 km/h. They can also adjust your car so it’ll have slightly less top speed but much more acceleration!

9ff is a Porsche expert, so they couldn’t let this car go without a proper aerodynamic package to improve its twitchy handling. There are carbon fiber front and rear spoilers and of course a big rear wing. They’ve also fitted the car with light alloys and an active exhaust system so you can choose between civil or sport surround sound!

You don’t expect such a car to be cheap, do you?! And it’s not of course! The Porsche 911 GT2 by 9ff tuning costs you 285,000 Euros.

The creators of the 1000hp SLEDGEHAMMER now has come up with a lighter more sensible package for the Porsche GT2, only 800hp! They have not announced any performance figures yet, maybe because they couldn’t find anyone with enough bravery to drive this animal. The regular GT2 with 530 hp is so wild and unforgiving, now God knows how this thing would handle!

Switzer has a rather simple recipe for this not so delicious dish. Big Garret turbochargers plus huge intercoolers, sport air intake and exhaust system and re-mapped ECU, that’s about it! And it comes for 39 grand, that’s bargain for 800 hp, of course if you don’t consider 200 grand price of the standard car!
