The Hennessey supercharger package for 2010 Camaro SS is really sick! For around 20 grand they boost your Camaro’s engine up to 562 hp and gives it blistering performance. The proof for this fact is shown in this video of the car in the dragstrip where it runs the quarter-mile in 11.67 seconds and tops 121 mph. That’s about 2 seconds faster than the standard SS.

Modifying an exotic car is a critical issue, because they already look pretty impressive and they are powerful enough to satisfy anyone’s thirst for speed. So you have to come up with a unique plan and be careful not to mess with it too much or you ruin it. It shouldn’t be a problem for Novitec  though, since they have proven themselves with their magnificent works on different Ferrari models. Now they’ve tried their magic on the Maserati GranTurismo S under the  ‘Tridente’ badge…

And it’s just as exquisite! Fortunately they have not ruined the great looks of the car by a stupid bodykit. There are only some slight touches like front and rear spoiler and side skirts, all of them pretty elegant. And of course you get the Novitec wheels as well, 20 inch in front and 21 for rear.

But it’s under the bonnet where you find what Novitec magic really  is! The standard 4.7 liter V8 has got a supercharger, a new high-flow exhaust system and an ECU treatment. The result is a massive 600 hp. it is about 200 hp more than the standard car so some other parts need to be re-tuned accordingly, and with the KW custom setup suspension it is assured that the GT won’t handle like a clown!

This is brilliant, I mean every body likes more power and more speed, but something is irritating here, and that’s the point of this car. You see the standard Gran Turismo is a fantastic GT car, a long distance cruiser which manages to be fast and comfortable at the same time. When you turn it to a supercar with 600 hp and a racing suspension, it’s kinda missing the whole point! It is certainly not a car you use on track and for road use, what’s exactly the problem with the original ?! As an engineering job though, Novitec GT is truly great.

A German tuner  called WheelsAndMore realized that some of you really want a 500+ plus Audi R8 but cannot wait for the Audi R8 V10 to launch, So they’ve done the job! Despite the funny name, these guys are serious about tuning…

What they’ve done, in essence, is taking a standard R8 V8 engine and bolting a big supercharger to it. The result is a massive 530 hp which is even more than what the V10 engine will offer, not that much actually, only 5hp more!

Of course, this being WheelsAndMore,they couldn’t let you go without a nice set of their shiny rims, so there are good options on that matter.

Prices start at €1,700 for the ECU upgrade and €32,500 for the supercharger. If money is no option, however, WAM can also install an uprated brake package with eight-piston calipers up front and six-piston units in the back for the princely sum of €13,998. Other options include an exhaust kit with a remote-controlled valve to reduce noise levels for €4,800, an aluminum race-spec suspension kit for €3,999 as well as a new hydraulic lift system that can raise the car by 30mm for €8,949.

When it comes to Chevrolet Corvette tuning, Callaway is always one of the best names in business. Their latest creation with 580hp based on Corvette C6 fills the gap between the normal 500hp C6 and 630hp ZR1. However the Callaway is capable of 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and top speed pf 204 mph, which is in the ZR1 territory, but comes for a very reasonable price. The package costs only $18,900 of course plus a Corvette C6! And is still much cheaper than ZR1′s 100 grand price tag. The engine in this Callaway is a LS3 6.2 liter V8 which is fitted with a Eaton supercharger, intercooler, high flow injectors and modified air intake system. The result is 580 hp and 265 pound-feet of torque. The car comes with a  three-year/36,000-mile warranty. If  it is not enough for you Callaway offers another package, the C16 with 650hp.

With months to go before hitting the showrooms in Spring 2009, Lotus Evora has already achivied a great respect as it got the attention of high ranked celebrities, and now to make things more interesting Lotus announced that a hot version will come in late 2010 with a supercharger on its 3.5-liter V6 engine from Toyota to pump up the power from 276 to 350 Horsepower! That would be enough for 0-60 sprint of less than 5 seconds and top speed just over 280kmh (175mph). The car is simple and straight forward like the Elise, but features a better, contemporary design and comes with much more toys than its old brother. More pictures after the jump…

Hamman finally revealed it’s secret project of ruining McMerc SLR, codenamed Volcano. SLR used to be a very cool car, until some tuning gurus like Mansory and now Hamman decided it is too handsome, let’s make it hideous! Mansory Renovatio was a mess, Hamman volcano is a mess too but in a different way. It seems that Hamman designers have been playing alot of NFS Carbon (or whatever the new one is) recently. They did their best to make it like those heavy stupid tunings in the video game, oh I think you missed the Nitrous guys!!

While designers failed, engineers excelled. The whole bodykit is made of very light weight Carbon fiber and has a lot of aerodynamic benefits because of front and rear spoiler with integrated diffuser and a massive rear wing. Hamman just wanted to make everything more on this car, so they removed original twin side exhaust pipes and installed a triple outlet on each side!  There is also Hamman rims as you’d expect.

Under the bonnet Hamman technicians fiddled with ECU programming and exhaust system, tweaked the supercharger and added a water pump. The results is 700 hp and 830 nm of torque (previously 626 and 780).

Inside, they couldn’t find a perfecter trim than Mercedes Black/Red, so stuck to it, but replaced silver plastic parts of console with carbon parts like SLR 722. There is also aluminum pedals and some Hamman carpets, and that’s about it for interior.

There is no mention of price for the time being, but no need to say it will be scary!

Hamman Volcano is good as an experience, but as an upgrade for Mclaren Mercedes SLR, it does not work. So please Dear HAMMAN, stick to BMWs!!!

The serial Mercedes-Benz SLR is already one of the most impressive cars on our roads – but compared to the HAMANN VOLCANO it still looks rather harmless. Once again, HAMANN-Motorsport proves its cutting edge when it comes to refining superb sports cars. From a lift-reducing body design to a powerful performance enhancement to a lavishly styled interior, HAMANN focuses on all components of this luxury car and makes the automobile dreams of its exclusive clientele come true.

The total makeover of the Laupheim-based refiner is made of extremely light full carbon and consists of front- and rear wing extensions and also new side skirt attachments and sheathings. The front view of the Volcano is optically perfected with a newly designed bonnet which enhances the overall impression by its integrated hood scoop. But also for the rear, the refining technicians implemented new ideas giving the SLR appearance its finishing touch. Under the boot lid cover, HAMANN placed a strong diffuser which improves the car´s output in combination with the large rear wing. At the front axle, a newly developed front spoiler renders the necessary contact pressure. If desired, an especially developed overall paint for the VOLCANO in either aluminium/chrome or white/matt completes the striking appearance of this bolide.

The 21-inch rims named EDITION RACE with tyres measuring 255/30ZR21 at the front and 345/25ZR21 at the back render an optimal road grip. The design of the extraordinary light forged wheel thereby combines vitality and elegance and also perfectly fills out the wheel houses.

The HAMANN makeover is not only sportive, but also has a lot to offer under the bonnet. The HAMANN motor technicians get the most out of the Mercedes Benz V8-aggregate (5.4 litres, 626 hp, 780 Nm): 700 hp / 515 kW and a maximum torque of 830 Nm at 3,300 crankshaft revolutions per minute. The therefore necessary modifications include a newly programmed control unit, especially developed high performance exhaust manifolds and an amended belt pulley combination for the serial compressors. In order to facilitate the increased motor performance, HAMANN adds a second water pump and adjusts the gearbox electronics. Invigorated in this way and with the adequate sound from the six end pipes of the sport exhaust system, the VULCANO accelerates from naught to a hundred in only 3.6 seconds. With a maximum speed of 348 km/h, the HAMANN VOLCANO is 14 km/h faster than the serial model.

The HAMANN product even beats the factory-provided performance-enhanced special series SLR 722 by impressive 11 km/h.

A skillfully refined interior is waiting for the VOLCANO-pilot and also the exterior does not rank behind. The overall makeover contains pedals and foot rests in aluminium as well as noble door sill protectors and headrests with embossed embroidered HAMANN-Logos. They can also be found on the exclusive floor mats. The overall makeover can be enhanced with a HAMANN interior set containing custom-made carbon parts for the dashboard and centre console. If desired, also the roof interior, all pillars, the cockpit including the steering wheel and the sun visors can hereby be adjusted in terms of colour.
