Dacia is getting really good at extreme kinds of motorsport. After having a successful go at hill climbing, they are hitting the ice at Trophée Andros series with this, the Lodgy Glace.

This car is based on a family road car to be unveiled next year. They will enter two Lodgy racers in 2011/2012 Trophée Andros and have hired a top level team of drivers for the job: Alain Prost, the legend himself will be driving the first one while the other will be shared between Nicolas Prost and Evens Stievenart.

The cars are prepared by Tork Engineering (design, production, assembly) and Sodemo (engine), backed by Renault Sport Technologies (RST) who provided technical and sporting expertise from the world of motorsport. Dacia also used its experiences with the Duster Glace of 2010/2011 season in perfecting the Lodgy.

Trophee Andros cars might look like harmless little hatchbacks, but they are massively powerful and have four-wheel drive and steering. This Dacia has 355 bhp! Driving these beasts on ice is huge fun and terrifying at the same time. Especially this year since they have raised the engine outputs. Check out the specs of the car after the pictures.
