Those who remember De Tomaso in its early days might be a bit disappointed with the new model which marks the rebirth of the brand. It’s called the SLC, and whichever way you cut it, it is a jacked up sedan.

They apparently wanted a new niche, and definitely wanted something high riding. So they took the idea of BMW X6 but decided to make it more practical and even bigger, and they ended up with this thing!

It’s not bad at all, we and indeed everyone else were expecting De Tomaso to come back with a new crazy supercar, a new Pantera! the interior too is way too ordinary and rather boring. The steering wheel and the dashboard seem to be lifted straight out of a Cadillac and bolted on the SLC. The layout and most of the gadgets also look old fashioned.

Apart form the looks, it’s got a weapons-grade V8 engine with over 500 hp and (not confirmed yet) four-wheel-drive system.
