As it’s the case with new BMWs, before an M model we get the Alpina-tuned version of that car. Please welcome the new B6 Cabrio.
This will be revealed at the upcoming IAA Frankfurt Motor Show and the full-on M6 models will follow later in the year. The new Alpina B6 Biturbo Convertible is so fine however, that you might not bother waiting for the M6 to come!
The B6 gets a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 developing 507 HP and 700 Nm, which translates into a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds (standard car 5 seconds), and a top speed of 311 km/h. It is astonishing performance, considering the B6 is a luxurious drop-top cruiser.
Better than the performance however, is the way the car looks. The new 6er is a masterpiece in its own right, and the Alpina body kit only makes it better. The exquisite details in carbon fiber, such as the front spoiler lip contribute to both great looks and efficient aerodynamics.
The car also benefits from sport exhausts from BMW’s favorite exhaust maker Akrapovic, and Alpina’s traditional multispoke rims.
