We had seen the new version of Suzuki’s legendary Vitara SUV before, but at the Paris Motor Show the Japanese car maker revealed the car in full with a promise that it will be put into production at the Magyar Suzuki plant in Hungary in early 2015.

The new Suzuki Vitara doesn’t have the butch design of the previous generations, but it is a good-looking crossover, and spacious too. The idea was to mix ruggedness with sophistication in the new Vitara and they seem to have pulled it off.

Suzuki offers for the first time a range of personalization options for the Vitara, including vibrant new body colors such as Atlantis Turquoise Pearl Metallic or Horizon Orange, and the ability to choose the color front grille, fender garnishes and instrument panels.

There are value-added packages as well, including the urban package which adds chrome parts like fog lamp bezels (chrome-plated), body-side mouldings, and a roof spoiler, and the rugged package which consists of a front skidplate, a rear skidplate, fog lamp bezels, body-side mouldings, and a loading edge protection.

2015 Suzuki Vitara will launch with two engines including a 1.6-litre petrol engine and 1.6-litre diesel, both with 88 kW of power. The latter gets 320 Nm of torque, while the former only has 156.
