Following last week’s teaser, Rezvani Motors has now unveiled their all-new sports car, Rezvani Beast, in full production trim, or as we like to call it the Beast mode. The Ariel Atom-based speed machine looks cool and it has good mechanicals as well. But we’re not sure about the name.
Not that Rezvani Beast is a bad name, but it sounds kind of unimaginative for a car that is all about fun and games. The Beast is a lightweight – 1,650 lb (750 kg) – sports car which, as mentioned, is built on the chassis and drivetrain of the awesome Ariel Atom. It has different engines though, and a nicer interior, and a proper windshield.
You can have the Rezvani Beast with either a 2.0 liter turbo four-pot developing 315 horsepower in the Beast 300 model, or a 500 horsepower 2.4 liter unit featuring a crank-driven Rotrex supercharger and turbocharger. A manual gearbox is standard, but you can order a sequential automatic if you want.
Rezvani reckons the 500 will their best-selling Beast as it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 165 mph. This car is all about the pure thrill of driving, which is why it doesn’t have a cabin as such; just a steering wheel, a couple of carbon bucket seats, and an Apple CarPlay infotainment system. Prices for the Beast 500 starts at around $165,000.
