No civilian or car journalist has yet been allowed behind the wheel of the McLaren P1 GTR, the extreme track version of the P1 hyper car. But when Martin Brundle, an ex-F1 driver and one of Britain’s biggest car personalities comes a-knocking, McLaren cannot say no.
So Car Magazine pulled some strings and sat with Martin to record his thoughts on the McLaren P1 GTR. This counts as the first review of the 10,50 horsepower hyper track car:
