Every time we think we’ve seen all there is to see in terms of weird car wraps, the guys at Impressive Wrap come up with something that proves us wrong. Their latest creation is this cool BMW M235i boasting a black rainbow chrome wrap.

As you may know we are not very big on chrome wraps on account of them being extremely showoff-y and therefore very ghastly and revolting. But credit where it’s due, Impressive Wrap has a way of mixing the chrome with other colors so it doesn’t look terribly vulgar anymore. If anything, it serves to improve the overall design and make the whole thing look more interesting.

That is the case with this rainbow chrome wrap. Granted, the front-end does look like something painted by a PMSing teenage girl. But it melts into a nice matte black at the back which dulls the sheer shininess of the chrome parts and complement the colors nicely. The chrome part comes into its own only when the right light hits it, hence the rainbow effect, which means most of the time it doesn’t shimmer and glisten at all.

Overall, we quite like what iW has achieved with this BMW M235i. At any rate, partial chrome wraps are always preferable to a full one!
