Top Gear Begins Filming Season 19

We had it in the news a few weeks ago that the Top Gear trio has renewed their contract with BBC for another three years. Now some more news emerge that after signing the papers they packed warm clothes and went off to film the new series; Season 19. That is of course awesome news, but new Top Gear is still a long way of ahead of us. We’re talking second quarter of 2013, probably.

In between filming for season 19, TG boys have also been busy making a Christmas Special for 2013. Weirdly though, it is going to be aired in February, and no one knows yet what’s in it.

As for the ingredients of new series, they are going to have another one of their big races across the continent, with Jeremy in a car, and Hamster and Slow relying on public transport. It’s been a while since they last did a big race, should be fun. Some say Jezza is going to be driving the new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in this race. He’s been tweeting some suspicious things about its sat nav.

Obviously, there will be lots of reviews and test drives in the new season. You can count on seeing the new Range Rover, Jaguar F-Type, Porsche 991, Toyota GT86, Ford Focus ST, a new Lotus and a new McLaren, among other road cars and concept cars.

The evidence suggest the new season of Top Gear is going to be a lot better than the last one. We really do hope they also bring back the Cool Wall.
