Citroen’s cute little DS3 achieves a significant milestone as the 200,000th unit roll off the production line at the firm’s production line in Poissy. Launched in March 2010, the DS3 has been one of the most successful hatchbacks Citroen has ever made. It also spawned a couple of different variants including a rally car.

Following its European launch, the DS3 hit Russia later that year, Argentina in 2011, Brazil in the first half of this year and China in the second half of 2012. That makes it performance in reaching this milestone all the more amazing.

Among the special editions that made the car so popular we have the DS3 Racing; the chic DS3 by Orla Kiely and the luxury DS3 Ultra Prestige. The car also has a successful racing career. The DS3 WRC helped Citroen to continue its domination of World Rally Championship. The latest DS3 variant is an open-top cabrio version that further boosts the appeal of this chic French hatchback.
