I love the way they do things in Abu Dhabi ! When they realized they like Ferrari, they bought 5 percent of its shares and made exclusive Ferrari park for themselves, and when decided they should have a Formula 1 circuit, they dedicated an Island to it and made a top notch facility with underground pit! Now, Emirates Motor Company, top level Mercedes agent for Abu Dhabi and Alain announced its plans to make world’s largest Mercedes Benz facility early next year in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.
It covers a massive one million square feet and will have anything possible in a car facility and some. Showroom, service centre, spare parts, a multi-story parking lot and staff accommodation. Here’s official press release by AMEinfo:
His Excellency Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of Al Fahim Group, said:
‘The new facility underscores our continuous efforts in setting industry standards and relentlessly working towards achieving them. Establishing the largest mixed-use Mercedes-Benz facility in the world will mark the realisation of one of the company’s key objectives while placing Abu Dhabi on the global map for cutting edge automotive centres.’
‘The new EMC facility will also reflect the rich partnership legacy that we share with Mercedes-Benz, one of the most reputed automobile brands in the world. We believe the landmark facility will further consolidate our business relationship and help us cater to the growing consumer base in the region,’ he added.
Incorporating unique design elements reflecting the corporate identities of both Mercedes-Benz and the Al Fahim Group, the new facility will feature panoramic lifts, glass exteriors and environmentally sustainable concepts symbolizing the group’s core values.
The new premises will include an air-conditioned drive-in reception area and an air-conditioned workshop to allow customers to inspect their vehicles while being serviced. Additionally, it will be equipped with Wi-Fi technology and host a well-appointed food court.
Al Fahim added: ‘We are very proud of our accomplishments over the past five decades. We believe the new EMC facility will mark an emphatic new beginning and greatly facilitate our long-term growth.’
Reflecting modern design aesthetics, the new energy efficient office structure has been built with three vertical openings ascending to the roof for filtering in daylight to add a sense of spaciousness to the facility.
Founded by the late Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, EMC on the Airport Road was the first establishment for Al Fahim Group that has continuously expanded over the years to accommodate the growing business. With the new facility set to become the world’s largest mixed use Mercedes-Benz operations centre, EMC will become one of the most prominent Mercedes-Benz distributors globally.
