
Kia Motors can now claim they have something in common with Ferrari. They both make cars that catch fire all by themselves! The Korean Manufacturer however is quicker in announcing recalls. If you are an owner of one of the 23,972 2010 Kia Soul or 11,213 new-look 2011 Sorento models, they need you to take your car back so they can replace a number of faulty wiring harnesses that may start a fire.
The faulty parts that may have been soldered improperly are supplied by JCI (Johnson Controls Inc)and are used in Kia Soul’s front door speakers and in Sorento’s interior accent illumination in both front and rear doors. Under certain circumstances the electrical circuits in them may short out and possibly cause fire.
