Clarkson, Hammond and May Begin Filming New Car Show

The old Top Gear trio, went rogue as a result of a now infamous fracas, took to twitter to announce they have begun filming the new car show for Amazon Prime. Clarkson, Hammond and May are driving the McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and Porsche 918 in the first episode of their new show.

What a way to kick things off! Interesting timing too, as only yesterday Chris Evans, the host of the new BBC Top Gear, announced that the old format of the show is out with the “three stooges” and that he is planning a solo act. So the unique three-middle-aged-men-falling-over-and-catching-fire format will remain exclusive to Clarkson, Hammond and May.

The venue for the filming of the hyper car trio test is Algarve Circuit in Portugal, and interestingly it was Chris Harris who tweeted the picture you see below of the cars in action. That raises the question, is Chris Harris somehow involved with the new show? Is he the new show’s The Stig? Could it be that they offered him a job at the new Top Gear and he refused so he could work with the three stooges.

These questions – and may more, including the name of the new show – will be answered in due time. For now just be content that a whole lot of good car-related entertainment is coming your way in 2016.
