GM is so excited about the new Cadillac CTS-V that it put it up in press every now and then! They recently launched a website to book orders for it. The car will make it’s first appearance in the region at Abu Dhabi Motorshow ( which is getting much more notice than previous years, as it used to be a big sale festival where dealers were showing their cars instead of car makers!!)… and will be on showrooms floor afterward. Cadillac CTS-V is world’s most powerful production 4 door saloon. it delivers 556 hp and 747 Nm of torque, and comes with either a proper manual with a dual-disc clutch or paddle shift automatic, both six-speed, transmission. The car has a full set of luxury toys as you expect but the most remarkable one must be multimedia system with 40gig hard drive and pop-up monitor. It also has Magnetic Ride Control, the same system GM and Delphi helped developing and is used in Ferrari 599 GTB.

GM Press release:

 – The all-new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V, the most powerful V8 sedan in the world, is set to go on sale in the Middle East next month. With the power to accelerate from 0-100 kph in 3.9 seconds, the CTS-is one of the world’s fastest sedans. Combining the performance of a sports car with the poise of a luxury sedan, the CTS-V also exudes elegance both inside and out.

The 2009 CTS-V, set to make its first appearance in the region at the 2008 Abu Dhabi International Motor Show, takes the award-winning CTS sport sedan and elevates it to a position within the club of the world’s most exclusive and capable cars. The powerful 2009 Cadillac CTS-V is being offered outside North America for the first time, and the Middle East market is bracing itself for its arrival in December.

The most dramatic example of the CTS-V’s world-class comportment is the new supercharged 6.2 L V-8 engine set to deliver 556 hp at 6100 rpm and 747 Nm at 3800 rpm of torque. It presents the best of both worlds – supercharged power and superior refinement. A pair of six-speed transmissions is offered with the V-8 engine: a new, Tremec six-speed manual with a dual-disc clutch; and a Hydra-Matic six-speed automatic with paddle-shift control – the first automatic offered in the CTS-V

The new CTS-V combines spirited performance with the poise and elegance of a prestigious luxury sedan. The exterior amplifies the assertive stance and elegant details, communicating the car’s remarkable capabilities. The dihedral Cadillac grille is larger to enable more air intake and features a satin finish.

The CTS-V offers a luxurious and purposeful interior in a remarkable blend of dramatic design, technology and craftsmanship. Cadillac’s hallmark cut-and- sew interiors features prominently in the CTS-V’s hand-stitched instrument panel, door trim and center console. Leading-edge infotainment features include: a 40-gigabyte hard drive; advanced navigation system with a “pop-up” screen; Bose digital surround audio, factory-installed Bluetooth capability. The state of the art infotainment package includes an unprecedented level of iPod and mp3 integration into the car, including power charging and capability to record tracks from CDs.

The CTS-V includes many technical enhancements, including Magnetic Ride Control, an industry-first Performance Traction Management Program and the addition of a new six-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shift control.

¡°The CTS-V provides an absolute luxury driving experience across a whole range of conditions. Visitors to the 2008 Abu Dhabi International Motor Show will be impressed with its powerful performance and unique refinement.” says Adib Takieddine, Marketing Manager for Cadillac in the Middle East.
