The first official iPhone app for Maserati has been launched today by the company, allowing owners, fans and enthusiast to feel closer to their beloved brand. Available for free through iTunes app store, Maserati Passion app comes in two iPhone and iPad formats, and two Italian and North American versions.

The application has a wide range of features including the entire product range available instantly to view. Not only it offers pictures, technical rundowns and engine soundtrack audios, the app also includes a mini-configurator to create a tailor-made vehicle. The design can then be saved and used as a background on the user’s device.

There is also a news area to keep the users informed on the latest Maserati news as well as events organized by Maserati. The social media integration meanwhile makes it easy to share your favorite stuff.

For the more serious users Maserati Passion app offers Dealer Locator and Assistance area are useful when trying to locate the nearest dealership or local freephone number. The iPad version, tagged Passion +, also features a section dedicated to the Maserati Store, offering direct access to online purchase of Maserati merchandise and accessories.
