If you have been watching the Olympics you may have already spotted these little MINIs running around the field, ferrying javelins, shotput, discuses and hammers around. If you haven’t been watching, we got a demo video here. MINI’s RC cars are part of the company’s Olympic fleet which also includes a large umber of MINI E cars for transporting athletes and officials.

MINI has killed two birds with one stone here. They’re both doing a service to the Games, and also promote the brand in an interesting way.

Mini MINIs are powered by batteries that can sustain 35 minutes of continuous usage with a radio control range of approximately 100 metres and be fully re-charged in 80 minutes. Maybe after the games MINI start selling them along with all kind of merchandise they have on offer today. They look pretty cool!
