iPhone accessories maker id America announced the launch of a new ‘Gasket’ series cases for the iPhone 5. Called the Gasket V8, this case is inspired by the shape of a head gasket on a V8 motor, and is constructed with aircraft aluminum.

We have to say we are not big fans of cases and accessories, mainly because an iPhone is a beautiful object, but this V8 case looks pretty cool. Plus, as you know, iPhone 5 is very prone to scratches and dents, and it is kinda inevitable to wrap it up in a case or it’ll look terrible after a few weeks.

The V8 Gasket case features a brushed, lightweight aluminum skeleton on the outside, while the interior is lined with suede to protect your precious iPhone. It also has smooth, rounded edges for additional grip. The only drawback with this case is that it marks you as an auto enthusiast. So make sure you take it off when you are going on a date or something!

The Gasket V8 goes on sale from March 20, priced at $29.95.
