2014 Alfa Romeo 4C – New Pictures

Things are moving very slowly at Alfa Romeo. They are planning a big U.S. comeback with the new 4C sports car, but even now that the car is ready they are yet to set a date and get on with it. So after the March debut of the production 4C at Geneva, all Alfa has to offer for now is a couple of new pictures.

Of course, the 4C is worth the wait. We’re talking about a super lightweight Italian sports car here with a carbon construction, rear-wheel drive, and a mid-mounted turbo engine. In the petrolhead’s cookbook, that is the ultimate recipe for driving fun.

That is in spite of the fact that the engine powering the 4C is a small 1750 turbocharged four-banger from Fiat with no more than 240 horsepower, and that it is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch rather than a proper manual.

All we can do for now is wait for Alfa to get up off its keister and launch the car. While you’re at it, check out the new pictures below. We particularly liked the spartan cabin with that cool steering wheel.
