Challenging the supremacy of Mercedes-Maybach in the ultra-luxury segment, Audi has come up with a limo version of their A8 saloon. Audi A8 L extended measures a staggering 6.36 metres (20.9 ft) and seats six people in utter comfort.
A built-to-order model, Audi A8 L extended differs than Limos aftermarket specialists provide you with in the sense that it’s built properly based on a bespoke version of Audi Space Frame design, as opposed to a standard chassis cut in half with bits added to the middle. The car is made almost entirely from aluminium and is therefore one of the lightest cars of its type.
But a luxury Limo is all about the interior, and Audi A8 L extended does not disappoint here, either. You get six seats upholstered in extra-supple Valcona leather, in the colour velvet beige, with the rows two and three featuring individual adjustability. Each seat also gets a sun blind, but you have to share the Rear Seat Entertainment display and the cool box. This one-off A8 is powered by a 3.0 TFSI with 310 PS and 440 NM of torque, but we’re sure Audi can put any engine you like in yours. After all, this car is built-to-order.
