Apparently Alfa Romeo is thinking about a modern-day Spider as they backed a student project in which three designers named Alberto Gaiani, Massimo Paparella and Michela Zedda from Politecnico di Milano University had to come up with a modern interpretation of the legendary Alfa Spider. They used the Duetto of the 1960’s and the Spider of 90’s as the reference and came up with this car you see here.

Now the whole idea a new Alfa Spider might never become reality, but if it does, it’d give cars like BMW Z4 plenty of reason to be worried! Specially if Alfa gives it one of their brilliant V6 engines and of course build it properly so it won’t brake down all the time… Oh Joy!
