There has been lots of rumors about a bespoke sportscar by Abarth this past couple of years and it’s just getting more serious. This car is the Abarth Scorp-ion concept which although has an Abarth logo is actually a design study by some students.

So maybe Abarth wants to asses people reaction before they come up with their own car. The Scorp-Ion, which has a fantastic name by the way, is a work of Instituto Europeo di Design students in Milan. This is an electric two-seater sportscar which has four electric motors, one for each wheels, backed by Lithium-Ion batteries.They will never make it of course but it hints at the upcoming Abarth sportscar.

The car looks quite incredible and that’s probably because it’s designed under supervision of professionals from Pininfarina and Maserati.
