Well, Ben Collins is not actually playing a role in the Skyfall. But he is behind the cool driving tricks and stunts you will be seeing in the movie. Sacked Stig – as Jeremy likes to call him – has been spotted on the set of the new James Bond film in Turkey, driving a highly modified Land Rover with controls on the roof and actors inside.

It’s not Collins’ first James Bond experience. He was also part of the Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale stunt teams, but you haven’t heard much about those because back then he was still the Stig. Ben has talked about his stunt driving career and the films in his book The man in the white suit – the book that got him fired from Top Gear.

As The Mirror reports, Collins has a collection of nice cars at his disposal to destroy for the film. They have already went though 15 Audi A5s, with a range of Aston Martins to join.

Looks like Ben is having more fun these days than his former Top Gear colleagues who have almost nothing to do until 2013. As we reported earlier, because of the Olympics there will be no Top Gear on this year.
