Official pricing of the all-new 2013 SRT Viper has been revealed by Chrysler, and this awesome, characterful and beautiful 640-horsepower super car is cheaper than a Corvette ZR1. The Viper is priced at $97,395 for the normal models, and $120,395 for the more special GTS version. So you thought your Scion FR-S was good value for money? Get a load of this!
For your 100 grand the Viper offers those iconic looks that are now also modern and well-proportioned, a great new cabin with all the amenities you would ever want, and above all, an 8.4 liter V10 engine with 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque.
Granted, if you give 8.4 liters to Europeans they come up with much more than 640 hp, but still, that engine makes the Viper mighty quick, especially as the new car is much lighter compared to the old gen. The new Viper also comes, for the first time ever, with electronic stability control. That won’t sit well with proper Viper fans, but it means the power is more usable now, and the car is more usable.
Just a little heads up, those prices above do not include the $1,995 destination charge. Enjoy some new pictures of the car below:
